Hi everyone!

We we had our interview today and I wanted to share our experience.

We interviewed in the Boston Ma location. We arrived at 210 for our 230 appointment. After 5 mins of waiting, the IO called my husbands name and asked to speak with me first. My intitial impression was that he was rather intimidating (although he was laughing with my husband when he brought him in).

initially he asked me to swear in & procceded to ask me for ID and any documents that I wished to submit (health insurance, dental, vision, life, bank statement, travel intineraries, etc)

He then started to ask me questions, here is what I remember:

How did you meet ?

When did you officially start dating?

When did he propose? ( I messed up the when which we all later joked about. Completed nerves!)

How did he propose? Where?

How did you get there?

What are his parents names?

Your husbands birthday?

What does he do for work?

What college did you go to? For how long?

Do either of you have any children? Have you been married before?

Did you eat dinner together last night? What did you both have ?

Do you live together? Where? What’s the address?

Do you share a room?

How many windows?

What type of flooring?

Who lives there?

How much is rent?

Do you have a gas or electric stove?

Dishwasher?

Coffe maker? (I Forgot we have one since I don’t drink it)

Then he told us he saw no reason not to approve us and that he would recommend it however he was “waiting on background checks”. He went over the ROC process and how we should be sure to apply at 1 year 9 months and that the greencard would have instructions when it came. At the end we did ask him if my husbands passport could be stamped for travel and he actually called his colleague in to ask if she could do that for us. She said she would be able to but only for 30 days. We explained we would not be returning until end of Feb and she suggested we make a Infopass appointment closer to the date to get his passport stamped.

Overall it was a good experience however, our case status has not updated yet :( we have an infopass scheduled for next Thursday tho!

Congratulations!! It seems like the overall process turned out to me smooth for you.

Do you happen to remember what questions were asked to your husband or were the questions posted in your earlier post asked to both of you? We have our interview in a few weeks in Boston as well

Hello,

I'm just so curious of how other have received EAD/AOS approvals so fast. Filed on 09/10/2018 and still nothing. I know some have expedited but others haven't.

I was just checking the August AOS filers and a lot of people with NOA1 date end of August (8/27-8/31) are approved yesterday for EAD/AP! So hopefully they'll start processing September cases soon! Beginning / middle of August EAD/AP were mostly approved 2 weeks ago, so hopefully they keep the pace up!

It was definitely nerve wracking but honestly it’s fine because they’re questions a couple living together should know! He actually wrote down my answers then we he called my husband in, he asked him the same questions. Unfortunately I forgot our engagement date which was terrible of me lol but it was just nerves! Let me know how yours goes or if you have any other questions!! :D

Hi folks.

I am a April AOS filer but I applied for AP in September (I know, I know--bad move on my part). I was just wondering if anyone from September had received their AP yet?

Were you an AP expedite?

Did you file EAD and AP seperately?

Not an expedite. I actually filed for AP a week or two after I filed AOS/EAD

Got notification that an RFE letter for the AOS was sent to us on Jan 23rd. I really hope is something small ... maybe my birth certificate, since I did not send it with the initial package... Well at least they "touched" our case.. Do you guys know if there is a topic / file  on RFE reasons for 2018 somewhere? I tried looking online, but saw only old stuff.

Thanks!

There would be too many to list. Best to just wait the few days for the RFE hardcopy to arrive and accept the fact that you wont know until your RFE comes in the mail.
