In the I-485 instructions page 10 - part 6 - Second paragraph ;)

I see it now. I thought it was just referring to the derivative spouse. Got it!

When a case status says that case is ready to be scheduled for an interview mean no rfe?

Yes- it means that for NOW, no RFE. Which means all you have to worry about is waiting for your interview letter to come.
It does NOT mean that you won't get one at the interview tho -- I have seen a few cases where people got an RFE AT the interview.

but congrats!

No they won’t. It’s non-refundable.

Why are they cancelling? The foreign spouse will be "out of status" if they do not continue with the AOS process.....

Went to motor vehicles today to renew my drivers license, they didn't renew it since my I 94 expired yesterday but I was hoping they'd agree to renew it with the 2 NOAs(ead & aos).

Guess I will use my countries drivers license.

A lot of people adjusting status under the K-1 visa have the same problem, like you and me the authorities use the I-94 to establish the validity of your state license.

But be careful because the law only authorize to drive with a foreign driving license for 90 days as well. So basically you can't drive once your I-94 expires, until you get a EAD or green card to renew your DL!

Check the dmv website in your state and see what are the legal proof to get the drivers license.

In Virginia, you can use I797 of a pending I485 to get the Drivers license.

Maybe you search online and if there's a document saying this is acceptable. You can print it out and bring it along with you to dmv.

Or maybe goto another DMV just in case the staff that helped you before was not that familiar with their own rules.

What expiration date did they put on your DL when you used your 797C?

I went with all my documents and they still didn't want to change the date. They only refers to the DHS on their computer so wherever I'll go they won't do much.

I haven’t received my 797c yet. Got rejected last week so I sent them again. I need to wait for 797c and then go to dmv to see if I have any luck.
