Hi, guys! 👋

We got married in May, but still preparing docs for AOS for me and my 2 daughters. I have a question and I will ask for your kind advice.

I file for AOS and Employment permit (for me and my elder daughter who’ll be 16 in a couple of months) and for advanced parole for the tree of us.

When I send it as one package do I have to duplicate the evidence documents (like marriage certificates, birth certificates and I-94s to staple them to all the employment permit forms and the advanced parole forms for each of us too) and the photos? If I put the notary copies to the AOS will simple photocopies for those duplicates will be enough?

Thank you in advance.🙏🙏🙏

i’m all Packed and ready to send it if no duplicates are required - it is already a 5 pound package 🤪

Hi! its been a while! Awesome seeing you around :)

Yes. each application goes by itself so they need photocopies. and also for the photos. These are how my EAD and AP application index looked like:

Also don't staple anything - just use a clip if you need to.

I-765 Form and Supporting Documents Application for Employment Authorization  -  (13 pages)

1.    Form G-1145 (1 page)

2.    Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization (7 pages)

3.    Copy of biographic data page of passport (1 page)

4.    Copy of K1 visa and entry stamp (1 page)

5.    Copy of Form I-94, Arrival-Departure Record (1 page)

6.    Copy of Certified copy of marriage certificate (1 page)

7.    Passport Style Photographs (x2 attached on a page) (1 page)

I-131 Form and Supporting Documents Application for Travel Document (Advance Parole) -  (11 pages)

1.    Form G-1145 (1 page)

2.    Form I-131, Travel Document (Advance Parole) (5 pages)

3.    Copy of biographic data page of passport (1 page)

4.    Copy of K1 visa page (1 page)

I see that you got your biometrics just one day before me, what are your status for your applications, mine are fingerprint fee was received for the AOS and case was received for the EAD and AP.

I read that the status fingerprint was received sometimes never change until the green card is approved, and it's a bummer to not be able to even track the case process.

I’m exactly in the same situation. It didn’t change from fee received, it’s frustrating...

i’m Planning on calling once a month after November to check with a tier 2 to see if there’s anything I didn’t receive like an rfe or such. Just in case.

I don't really know what a tier 2 is and how to ask one.

Tier 1 (level 1) is who you get on the phone at the first level, who has limited access and information on your case. Tier two (level 2) has more information and wider access. Tier 1 usually don’t know anything more Han the internet can give you.

Thank you! So when I call I should ask for a tier 2? I believe you have to insist to get one on the phone right?

Yep. I’d say give it a month and if it’s still not changing call them and say that although you gave your fingerprints and biometrics are done your status did not update.
