Hi everyone, I've been a silent stalker here and I must say this community is incredibly encouraging and supportive. I've decided to make an account because at last, I need you help and support!!

I received an RFE in the mail on Monday last week due to insufficient evidence for our 2-year meeting requirement.

I've been rummaging through my e-mails and documents but I just don't have complete documentation for any 1 event where my fiancé (from France) and I have met.

We lived together and worked together in the same company last year so I had provided our insurance policy for our apartment with our names (insufficient because adding a person to the policy doesn't require the person to be present), my work visa that shows I was working in France and entry passport stamps into France (insufficient because it shows that I was in France but not that I met him). Our rental contract has our names on it but I'm afraid they'll give the same answer as for the insurance policy. Our paychecks have the same company name and address but our addresses are different as he had his paychecks sent to his mother's address! Also, they might say we didn't necessarily meet to work together?!

I met him several times prior to living together but I always either have the flight E-Ticket/booking confirmation OR a hotel confirmation.

Should I just send whatever I have for each time we met whether it's a flight E-Ticket/booking confirmation or a hotel confirmation with pictures each time? I can do this for at least 4 events. I'm afraid it will be confusing and that they'll ask for additional documentation pertaining to each event.

Please help! I thank you so much for any advice!

Your rental contract with both of your names should definitely be good evidence. Do you have any pictures of the time you lived together within the two years that you can send?

Maybe we could start with what did you originally send as your evidence? If you sent pictures, were they dated?

Thank you! Yes, I think the rental contract will be sufficient. I'm just afraid they will say that I don't have to be present to add my name as they did for the insurance policy. I do have pictures but they are not in front of any typical monument so they will only be based on the time and place I put on the back.

The original documents I sent were: an insurance policy for the apartment we were renting together, the work visa I had that I was working France, the entry and exit stamps into France and the corresponding flight itinerary. The USCIS response was that it proves that I was in France but that I didn't necessarily meet my fiancé! It's so frustrating, we have the same employer and address! Do they not verify our employment and addresses?!

By the way, has anyone called USCIS to verify the supporting evidence is sufficient for an RFE before sending it in?

I called but there are so many menu options, I have no idea how to reach a representative. I think I tried at least 4 different number combinations!
