Just received our hard-copy RFE and they're only asking for new passport-style photos, so I'm hoping that means we're otherwise all good!

I think we forgot to put them in a separate envelope when originally sending them so they may have gotten lost.

Hi! I’m no expert as I’m also a baby on this process but based on the info I’ve read here on VJ. It seems you’re still good because it’s just passport photos.

Wishing for your approval soon! 💕

Hi everyone! My fiancé checked the account and it's been approved!!! it's not showing up when I enter our case number so does this take a couple of days? I'm so happy I'm speechless 😀

Hi! Congratulations! I’m still high too as we just received our NOA2!

Hello everyone!

Just received an email notification that they have taken an action on our case. So I logged in quickly on the website and bam! Our case has been APPROVED! Thank you everyone for the help. There’s much to do but at least this phase  is already good.

Hoping to see more NOA2 soon! 💕

Congrats!  We're also Philippines, hoping for something soon

Hello everyone! This might sound silly but I’m just wondering if it’s fine that the notification of case approval is only shown on the new website (my account.uscis.gov) and not on the old one.

I only found out that ours was approved because I created an account on the new one even if I’m the beneficiary (fiancé is really busy and he knows it’s my thing to organise things).

Having said that, he hasn’t received any text nor email notification about the approval. No hardcopy yet too (@Greenbaum said that will take 2-4 weeks so I’m good knowing that).

Also, has anyone tried entering their NOA1 receipt number on the old website and changing the last two digits and still see the same prompt of the case status? The last two digits of our receipt number was 59 and I randomly put 58 and then 57 just to try it will show error but it does not and instead showed the same info as the original receipt number including the date.

I’m just probably overthinking stuff. Just really wanna make sure all is good and that we’re just really waiting for the NVC to receive our case.

I’ll appreciate any insight about this. 😊

That's normal. It's very common for a case to only be updated on one of the two web sites, or for one to be updated long before the other. And not uncommon at all to only get a paper notification, either.

It's very likely the case #s around yours are also I-129Fs from the same date, and very likely in the same case worker's box, so it's not surprising the status is the same.

Hello there! Thanks for taking time to answer. Your answers are reassuring about the NOA2 (I’m really an over thinker lolol 🤣).

I was kinda thinking about that because I tried another last two digits which is 50 and I saw a different update which is an RFE but it’s for an employment application (or something like that) so it’s probably what you mentioned.

Thanks again!

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

When it looks like this example below then you have correctly updated. I'm not trying to strong arm you into completing your profile, but the answers we give sometimes is different for each embassy. Getting the wrong information can end not well with a denial, or delay your visa. It's all up to you. Personally, if I don't see the country, I don't respond to the question. I'm just trying to make your journey go as smooth a possible and it's JMHO.

Oh wow my bad! I was using my phone the whole time so I never see the above photo example of the profile. I thought you were referring to the Immigration timeline profile which was the NOA1 sent etc.

Anyway, I just completed my profile for real this time ✌🏼😅. And I’m seeing the same info on the photo you attached.

Yep, a dated letter that says 1 of 1 is almost always an approval.
