Sent my packet on Saturday the 8th. Was received on Tuesday the 11th. Filing for my fiancé who is Japanese.

They deducted the $535 from my bank account yesterday and still no notification. But the deduction of money was promising... I guess.

I sent mine on the 8th as well.  They got it on the 11th.  They charged my credit card on the 12th and also sent me a text/email that day.

There is no need to question or worry about your application. You have a receipt that it was signed for and the money is now gone from your bank account. Pretty promising indication that they have your application IMHO.

A lot of the times they don't text, email or snail mail when they say they will. That's been our experience. I've always leaned on telltale signs like the one you received now with the receipt of your case submission.

Anyone know how they send our i-129f package to NVC/Embassy stage?  Do they actually mail it out or do they scan and send it digitally?

Each stage can be different. USCIS to NVC hard copy. NVC to Embassy hard copy or digitally and depends on your Embassy. We have found some do receive it digitally and others are still hard copy. Can't say if yours is one or not.

Hi all,

I just received my NOA1 hard copy in the mail yesterday Sept. 10, 2018.
My application was received by the lockbox facility Aug 30 and I got my text/email notification on Sept. 5th. My case was sent to the California Service Center. Anyone know if the California office is much faster with approving i-129f's?

Good Luck to Everyone!😊

@Joy18 We have almost the same dates :)  Our case was sent to the California Center too but I don't know if there are faster centers than others.

They all run about the same but the bulk go to California.

Update: Received the case number via email/text. It says "On August 31,2018 we received your form I129F....."

Does that mean i have august noa1 date?

Once you receive your NOA1 797 form you have that date and then can update your timeline. Can't say for sure as they change dates all the time so if you are looking for accuracy then wait for the hardcopy.

Hello everyone.  I thought I would hang out here even though I am a September CR-1 filer.  For those who dont know me, we were June 17 K-1 filers that made it through the whole process and were denied in AP.  It was my fault but my experience will help people here.  At least I hope so.

I told my fiance that if we ever get denied for our K1, that we would switch to CR1.  Are there reasons that you would switch to CR1 instead of trying to go for K1 again?

People should sign of for this free service from the Post office.   They let you know you have mail coming up to a week ahead of delivery with a scanned image of your mail.  Would be very useful waiting for that delivery.    Its called "informed Delivery"

Yes.  Right now the timelines are very similar.  The CR-1 is less expensive and has less paperwork and most importantly, I wanted Rose to share that moment with her family in the Philippines.  The wait is honestly much easier now that we are married.  We did think about another K-1 but for us, the CR-1 was just a better fit.

It was tough at first but now we believe that this is the path we should have taken.  Rose has a huge family in Manila and I don't have much family in the states.  She was able to share that moment with them and it was at that point that I realized how lucky we were that we were denied.
