I’m sorry to hear that 😞 Hoping you get a simple rfe and get approved soon! Is that why you didn’t have a date on your case?

The agent said that's potentially a technical issue on the new site, they're unsure why that happens.

I suspect it may be due to our passport-style photos, so hopefully an easy fix!

I'm sorry for that :( but at least it's a response and relief that things are moving for you. It still sucks though. I hope it's something minor and you get through it as quickly as possible!!

Can't get truly reliable numbers, but just for a snapshot … for May filers (the last month where pretty nearly everyone has a NOA2 on their timeline if they're going to put one in), 45/293 timelines here reported an RFE. So about 15%. On the other hand, there are a lot of reasons why people with RFEs might be overrepresented here, and I don't think real numbers from USCIS are public.

Wow thanks for all the info guys 😊 does it usually take them this long to send out an RFE or do they come sooner sometimes?

Nobody can give you a clear answer about an RFE.  We have seen USCIS lose things that result in RFE ...people have used attorneys and have also received RFEs...the time for mailing the RFE is impossible to estimate unless you know the specific date the RFE was mailed. We just had a holiday this monday so that throws processing off a bit and we also have another holiday on feb 18th. Dont worry too much about an RFE...especially if you know you have a fairly easy case...

Its not that its insufficient. .its that it took 160 days to look at your petition because they work in date order. Thank Trump for all of the delays...😁

Well..the good thing is you know that someone touched your case...hang in their RFE should not hold up the process much...just make sure you reply as soon as you get it 😁💙

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I’m just nervous slightly because i did it on my own with no lawyer but we have a very simple case and i checked it like 7 times before sending it off so I’m hopeful 🤞🏼
