From time to time you will see expedited cases. Some are humanitarian in nature and where others can be Military. Typically not your normal cases.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Alright Team September, how are we all holding up? Lots of July filers getting approved now, which means hopefully soon we'll start seeing August filers getting approved and then it'll be our turn! Wishing you all a very merry Christmas wherever you are in the world :)

It is definitely getting exciting as we see it getting so much closer! If all goes well, and it will, this will be the last holiday season we spend apart! Enjoy whichever one(s) you celebrate, and best wishes for all of us!

I am a bit concerned about the possible partial government shutdown. I really do not want this process to take longer than it already is.

Praying the USCIS will remain open.

A government shutdown will not affect us. Although I believe this was posted during the last shutdown, USCIS has left it up for reference purposes. https://www.uscis.gov/archive/archive-news/lapse-federal-funding-certain-uscis-operations

USCIS and Embassies are funded by the fees they collect during your process. Hence they are not affected by a government shut down as your fees are enough to keep them operating. Thanks for the link.

I'm so happy to see that things are going a bit faster than expected! and I really hope it continues, but I´m really trying not to get my hopes up and I will continue to count on the average 180 days, and to get it before would just be amazing! :D

For now, I'm just so excited and can´t wait to spend the holidays with my fiancé here in Denmark after a long time apart!
I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas with their loved ones and if spending it apart, it'll hopefully be the last one, and hopefully not so long into the new year we will all get some great news!  :D

Thank you! Unfortunately, My Neil and I will be apart for the Holidays, once again, and we'll do what we have done each year. We'll celebrate twice! He is fifteen hours ahead of me, so we celebrate Christmas morning in Australia and the next day in New Jersey. We get to ring in the New Year two times! We're really doing our best to look on the bright side of it and anticipating doing it all together next year. Happy Holidays to everyone here!

That sounds so nice! We did similar last year when we were apart! You are right, it´s all about seeing the best in it and it really sounds like you guys are really good at that :D I wish you the best of holidays! :D
