Thank you very much John&Rose, I see it is good to think, plan and collect these things some time ahead!

Yes it is!  This is a long journey but at some point it is all in your hands.  Be prepared for that.  Things can move quickly once NVC has the petition.

I have a question here, does age difference plays an essential role in approval or denial?

I believe while age difference does matter, it only enters into play during the consulate process/interview, when it is viewed via lens of "what are the cultural norms in petitioner's country?" and if age difference, or, for example, age slant going "wrong" way (bride being significantly older than the groom, being too old to bear children, etc) can make proving "bona fide" relationship harder. That depends heavily on specific country and consulate, so you might try asking in your country specific forums. I do not think it plays much of a role during 129F approval stage though.

What is the age difference?  I've seen an 75 year old man get approved with a 29 year old fiancee!  I think that is the largest I've seen.

Same sex is treated the exact same as a hetero relationship.  38 years is not too bad as long as you can prove it is bona fide.  I've seen many 30 to 40 year differences (American men and Filipino women).  That is not uncommon.  Just have the proof and everything will be fine.

Yes, I am confident we provided enough evidence. I hope days will go faster to make it six months until we get the feedback

Good luck.  This is certainly not a quick easy journey.  The sad part is they review the petition for about 15 minutes and make a decision.  It takes 6 months for them to just pick up the file!

Thank you. Good luck to you too... I thought it takes 6 months because of plenty applications... either way we have to patiently wait.

6 months is generally a decent estimate for NOA2.  Actually I think 6 to 8 is more accurate.  Be prepared.  Things move after NOA2!
