I saw that from the March Filers thread :( Hopefully it comes back down again! I hadn't planned to visit the US until my visa was through but now realistically we're looking at June/July (or later) until I can move over so I'm going to try and visit in February. He is coming to see me in 6 weeks for one month - I can't wait!

Yeah okay, I was going for June/July anyway given how it sounds like everything can take extra time, but I really hope it won't be longer than that!
That is so great for you that he´ll visit in 6 weeks! I´m happy for you guys, always such an amazing time when you get to see each other after a long time and distance! :D My fiance just went back to the states 2 weeks ago, and then he´ll visit me again for Christmas, so Christmas can´t come soon enough this year :D

Hello! Got our NOA1 7 days after filing last Sep 18 🙂 Hope the NOA2 will not take that long. 🤞

Noa2 is running about 6-7.5 months.

Greenbaum's Tips:

1. It's advisable that once you receive your NOA2 that you contact NVC via https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to update your email address as well as your beneficiary's email address.

2.  Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

3. And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Hello Berries!!

I thought I'd start the new September 2018 129f  thread.

Best of luck to all new filers :) Currently it takes at least 6 months to receive the NOA2 for I-129F.

One of the useful tools that the US petitioner should sign up for is the USPS Informed Delivery: https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

Update your VJ timeline so that others could answer your queries more appropriately.

New site:https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Once you have your WAC you can create an account in the webpage!

Good luck and welcome to your new virtual Family!

Feel free to ask !

This list in visa Journey every day updates the day that is progressing and there is no progress for a few days, and I read somewhere that there was congestion in the cases or I do not know if I'm wrong !! Thanks for answering 🤗

If that is either the date on the USCIS site or the lists here, take them all with a grain (or a lot) of salt.  This happens when it happens.  No dates here or at USCIS are accurate at all.  When we received our NOA2 in April of 2018 the date here said we would received it by December 26, 2017. So it was 4 months after the date here.  Just be patient and it will happen.  Follow a few couples who filed just before you.  That may give you some indication.

Those dates mean nothing.  They are just a very loose estimation off what is going on.  It is way too early to be concerned about those dates anyway.  You are going to drive yourself crazy.  Start looking at the dates in March.

The problem is that those dates rely on people updating their timelines.  Many people sign up and disappear.  Since they never show receiving the NOA2 they skew the numbers.  They are automatically dropped from Igor's list in a year.

Trust me, I completely understand.  This is our second time through this.  It will happen.  Focus on the love and not the process.
