Dont freak out just yet. Your case will get to NVC sooner than you think. It will.

We're NOA2 9/25 - NVC says they haven't got our case yet, too. We're calling every other day. I feel your pain, seeing people already in transit with the same NOA2 is not helping 😅

You know, I’ve written them twice, only gotten one response that they didn’t have my case (2 weeks ago) and now it’s been 3.5 weeks since NOA2 and I still haven’t heard anything.

Has as anybody in this thread tried this and verified that it works?

I’m getting ready to go like “old school” and pick up the phone... 😄

An update and also a question: @Greenbaum

1. I did finally receive an e-mail from the NVC in response to my second online inquiry. It informed me that they had finished processing the visa (32 days after NOA2 date) and had forwarded the case to the Singapore Embassy.

conclusion: after all that, the e-mail method did work, and maybe because I specifically requested my case number and invoice ID, they also sent it to me.

So that was a victory, and I didn't have to spend any time on the phone. :-) You just need nerves of steel.... 😉

2. I am updating my timeline so that others can see our timing and benefit from it, as I have so many times from others who filled out their timelines. The NVC told me the date that my case *left* the NVC, but not when it *arrived*.

For the sake of completeness of my timeline, how do you all find out when your petition *arrived* to the NVC.

Thanks and love!

Normally the date u received ur nvc number is 2 days after they received it. Some were only 1 day.

If u want percent numbers call nvc and ask them which day nvc received ur case.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Today, I got an email from NVC (with my case number) that my case has now been forwarded to the US embassy in Nigeria. Meanwhile, no update on old and new websites that my K1 was approved. I called uscis two days ago and was told that the was case is pending and I check my mails everyday for NOA2, nothing came in.

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.  what does that mean? they will send to me a letter or  a mail?

I think it depends on the embassy.. I got the same message, though in Hungary we have to pay the fee and then we should be able to schedule the date. Actually, their system was down for a while and they called you by phone to discuss your appointment date. So, just go through the application on  http://www.ustraveldocs.com - select the Dominican Republic site and you should be able to create your profile, give the delivery address and find country specific instructions regarding payment methods and interview scheduling.

U will recieve a email from nvc with case number and invoice number. This is what's needed to show at medical and interview.

Not sure on ur country but most u schedule ur own appointment. U can do it online or by calling. They may tell u tho that u need to wait till they recieve ur case and status is changed to ready

That is for a CR1 visa as NVC schedules those. You schedule a K1 interview with your Embassy.

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (ceac.state.gov/). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

Una pregunta alguien sabe si para la entrevista tengo que llevar fotografía tamaño pasaporte mías y de mi prometido?

You'll have a better chance at getting your question answered if you post it in English. When you are in a thread where most speak your language then it's expected but when in other threads English is the preferred language. Thank you.
