Great! Thank you for the advice. I filled out as much as I could and now have a more complete timeline and profile.

30-45 days from today would be great. That would probably mean I can spend Christmas with my Fiance here in the US if everything goes well. 😎

Thank you. Here is an early Christmas gift. If you read through these links and go to the sub-forum for your Embassy and start preparing now your wish will come true.

Unfortunately I don't have a true Packet 3 letter so if and when you get a copy can you PM me with it? Thanks.

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Chile&cty=Santiago This line is a little old from 2017 and should be used with caution.

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-cl/iv This is the Embassy's website with all the information for Chile. You'll need to do a little exploring to find your answers.

Also I have this https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/SNT-Santiago.pdf

You should be over in the sub-forum for your area where you can ask some of the others who are applying and also there are some experts that can answer your questions.

You probably will never reach my record.  I love that feature as I can block their posts, their quotes and they can contact me either by posting in a thread or PM. They are dead to me.  I just go back to my reading and posting. :reading:

No and I won't attempt to match ur numbers.

They all should be glad that even after u have finished ur process that u have chosen to stick around and assist others. Most use it and leave it. There's a few that have stuck around and assisted. @geowrian for example. Tolerate that same questions all the time..

Yes, he does a lot for people here. Another one is @Boiler but you have to understand his satirical answers. If you do he is also a great resource. Hank over in the PI thread is awesome. There are many of us that help. I find it relaxing and fun. I meet a lot of people from all over. Some are even living near me.

I didn't know about Wuozopo but I rarely go into sub-forum's unless I am looking for a specific answer. I use the search function a lot and have had success. I think we spoke about that before and you commented that some of the information is to old that get returned in the search. Google is another one I use to get government or legal peoples answer.

Hello NOA2 --> NVC friends!  I have a couple of questions related to the DS-160 as I patiently wait for our application to be sent out of the United States!

1. National Identification Number --> Given that my fiancee is actually a foreigner residing in Ghana (he is from Benin), would a non-citizen card number suffice?  (this may be a sub-forum specific topic)

2. ·         Have you ever been refused a US Visa or been refused admission to the United States or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry? Y? Explain.  My fiance was denied last fall when we tried to have him come on a tourist visa to the united states to come visit me and meet my family.   How best should we answer this question?

3.  When you get police records translated (for example), do you need to use a special form?

Thank you everyone ahead of time!

We really hope that our application is sent out tomorrow or Wednesday.  The Ghanaian embassy is not a fun embassy to deal with when it comes to speediness.  Regardless, one step forward feels like miles!!  Good luck everyone!

I'm not the "hey guy" but I'll see if I can help.

For your Embassy there is information here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Algeria&cty=Alger

The fiancé(e) K-1 nonimmigrant visa is for the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen. The K-1 visa permits the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) to travel to the United States and marry his or her U.S. citizen sponsor within 90 days of arrival. You can learn more about fiancé(e) visas on usvisas.state.gov.

  1.  Once your file is received at post, an instruction package will be sent to you by email.
  2. First you need to pay the visa fee at one of Aramex offices, and then you have to register and schedule a K-visa appointment through the online appointment system at
    www.ustraveldoc.com/dz.
  3. Assemble the required documents that are listed on the instruction package.
  4. Schedule a medical examination with the Embassy-approved physician in Algiers at least 15 days before your visa interview
  5. If the visa is issued, your passport and documents will be available in approximately 7-10 business days at Aramex office that you already selected for pick up or delivery.
  6. If the visa is refused, the Consular Officer will provide you with further information.

thank you , sorry for my bad englich
