Greenbaum's Tips:

Immigrant visa (IV) applicants and non-immigrant visa applicants currently working with the National Visa Center (NVC) to complete their visa applications should make sure NVC has a working e-mail address for at least one party on their case.  (A case party is the petitioner, beneficiary, or agent/attorney.)  If you have not previously given NVC an e-mail address where you can be contacted, please call 1-603-334-0700 to provide your e-mail information*.  When you call, have your case number, petitioner’s full name, and the beneficiary’s full name and date of birth available.  NVC will then be able to e-mail you information and instructions rather than send them via traditional mail, which means you will receive items like NVC’s responses to submitted documents and notice of your visa interview appointment more quickly.

* or email NVC from this website  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to update your email address as well as your beneficiary's email address.

I don't know where in Hyderabad or Chennai to get the medical done. If you click on the Portals Tab at the top you can follow the country and find information about these cities. The other option is to call or email the embassy in those towns to find out what medical facilities provide the required services.  I have found that most of the answers can be found following the portal section of the site.  Hope this helps

Hello all,

For those of you who use the ais website to schedule the interview (https://ais.usvisa-info.com). Could anyone inform me how I correct a mistake on the DS-160 that I've already submitted?

I know I'll have to fill it out again and take the new confirmation page with me to the interview. What I'd like to know is if I have to update something on the AIS website? And how do I do so without needing to schedule a new interview.

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,

NOA 2 - September 24th

Case Number - October 5th

Once they give you a case number what else do they have to do? I'm just wondering what the odds of us being in the next batch this coming week. Hopefully it will be sent to Montreal soon, I'm getting impatient! lol

So we have our NOA2(sep 28th). Will probably get our NVC number this week I hope.

Can we fill out the ds-160 now or should we wait a little longer?

My scanned/electronic petition is at the Bogota embassy (it was received October 2nd). But I guess the physical petition is not? The Colombian Embassy has informed me that it doesn't send the packets until the physical petition is received. However,  an NVC representative told me they don't send he physical petition unless solicited. Anyone else run into this problem? Is the only solution to wait it out? I obviously don't want to rub anyone the wrong way. We've been holding off on the DS-160 because we felt that we should wait for the packet first...

anyone who is waiting nvc number and is needing to schedule medical currently the earliest appointment is Nov 1st.

Be prepared to wait and b disconnected often.

Fiance called right at 9am. Was #1 in line got kicked off. Called back kicked right off. Called back again and was #6. She had to wait about 40 min total to get appointment scheduled.

She choose Nov 15hth as that's what works best for her.

good luck y'all

That’s good to know thanks. Hopefully we will get our number this week so I cannot book the medical ASAP.
