  1. A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category

As I only got the NVC number last night over the phone have I jumped the gun with booking the appointment? Could I take my NAO2 letter?

Well, reading the requirement it says that the letter from Embassy or NVC which you have neither of and the NOA2 is from USCIS and does not contain the case number.

So, I too recommend that you ask that question to someone who is more knowledgeable for requirements like that for the London Embassy in the sub-fourm for your country. @BJ & Christine were kind enough to provide the link. Follow it for the experts.

Here is a list of things to do that will help you along the way. When you get your P3 letter the combine that with this information.

Quick question on the I-134.

The instructions say to '''Answer all questions fully and accurately.  If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed.  If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed.''

So on question 22.a (Page 4), where it asks if I have previously submitted an affidavit of support for the following person we were going to write n/a like we had done for the rest of the questions that didnt apply to us. BUT starting on question 22.a it says to write none.

So I wanted to know if you guys just wrote ''None'' as instructed or just put ''N/A''.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Surprising they have not received your package yet.  I had found out that if you call late in the evening they usually have the information by then.  That is how I found out my case number.  Something to try

I got my case # today!

I followed the superb advice from @Greenbaum and @Duane & Haney and emailed the NVC my information, requesting that they inform me of any status updates.

There’s no way I could deal with the phone thing.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting for the next step 💗

You're one of my star pupils.👍

I wish others would read the thread page by page. There is so much that is shared by all and to miss this tip is a travesty. 😀

And to think it doesn't cost a bundle of this 💰

Congratulations. Now let's get that visa.

OK, I found some of your instructions >>here<< so that's cool and really helpful, because that's what i did.

So hopefully will avoid the tedious calling / waiting in the line and also receive a note whenever the cases arrives there.

Really good stuff, 🙏😊@Greenbaum, really appreciate your sharing, makes me happy and is really very useful! 🙂

I'll report back with confirmation how it worked, should be another 1-2 weeks. 👍

Duane & Haney

Save yourselves a lot of stress 😍
