Petitioner gets mailed everything up to the case number. Then the beneficiary starts to receive mail from their Embassy and the Pet gets nothing.

Really. You think that it's going to take 2 months. That's the standard response that NVC gives. They always over promise and under deliver. It's a game. Just ignore those answers. Now there is that rare case where it can take months for a file to reach NVC from USCIS but that's a whole different story to which I don't have time to explain and chances of it happening to you are almost null.

The process isn't insane. The applicants are insane. I want it now. Stupid USCIS, NVC and Embassy! Your expectations are set to high. So when you hear something that doesn't meet your expectations the you think their insane. Yeah, I know but … I've been there I know what "you" applicants are demanding. I think that's insane. If you use the tools in the last response you'll have a better idea from others from your country what the actually timeline is. Then, don't call NVC till your case arrives based on what you see from others timelines. If you don't use that method then you are in that same high expectations, not the answer you want, now I am disappointed and NVC is insane mentality.

Thanks for your helpful links etc. I appreciate those.

I don't understand if you are trying to criticise me (or anyone else) with this response, I am kind of confused by it honestly.

While I get that USCIS is notorious for overpromising and under delivering I also do not think that it is unreasonable to consider 12 months to get into the US insane personally, especially coming from a visa waiver programme where under other circumstances I could enter within a couple of days.

My expectations are absolutely not set too high, I did not state that any individual person was insane merely the process itself. On top of this, the comment that you have focused on was a light-hearted one aimed at making light of the process.

I would like to think that you are not trying to be unnecessarily harsh about this and I will blame it on my misinterpretation of your answer.

Thanks again for pointing out the links to useful information, I will be sure to use them.

Distance is no demon,

Often I think it can be a blessing for those in love,

a silent, underappreciated blessing.

It will have no power over us.

When you come stumbling to my door after months, with flowers and wine in hand,

I will be ready.

When I pick you up from the airport, the feeling will be unmatched,

that feeling like birds bursting in song from beneath my lungs,

that feeling unlike any other.

We have to stay strong and remember what is most important;

I love you, and you, me.

The air between us is nothing but a metaphor.

Nothing, not one thing, can come between us.

I am in Nottinghamshire. How about you?

Bet you can't wait to see your fiance! Mine is coming here in just over two weeks and I can't wait to see him.

I think we will do the same and call NVC when he is here. is it the Petitioner or beneficiary who needs to call NVC?

I'm in South Yorkshire 😊

I'm very excited for this visit! How long is your fiance visiting you for? It's going to be so great now the long wait for noa2 is over with, it's taken such a load off. I just peeked at your timeline and youve had to wait so long for your approval, I bet celebrations will be in order for you guys!

I think someone else has answered this now but I think either can call. I might give it a shot!

Celebrations are definitely in order and same for you guys also, I am sure!

He is only able to come for 6 days because of work but its six days better than no days.

I can't wait to book my medical, it's so silly but I feel like that is the point where it will become real.

We are going to start calling around the 24th probably.

Absolutely, I just have a nice relaxed feeling now cos it feels like I've got over the major hump, I know there's still  a bit to go until visa is in hand but hopefully it'll be way less stressful!

Are you gonna go ahead and book your medical as soon as you have your nvc case number?

Read through this for an overall idea, but you don't have to ask for anything they will guide you. you just give your receipt number (WAC#)

I'm trying to point out that you and others are making this into some kind of painful exercise and it needn't be that. I explained how to avoid all your anxiety in the process. It's simple but everyone, wants to do this and that, call and check and so on and on when it's not necessary. There are some simple tools to use and they don't include calling USCIS, NVC or your Embassy.

It's as simple as knowing the timeline when you can expect to have your NOA2. This you get by watching others from your country who are processing a month or two ahead of you. If their file is taking 200 days on average to adjudicated then more than likely yours will take that long. Calling at 180 days when other timelines are showing 200 days is ludicrous. So set the alarm for 200 days and when it goes off then check your progress. But all the time, keeping an eye on those ahead of you because if the trend changes either shorter waiting periods or longer you'll know. BTW have I ever once advised you to call USCIS, NVC or your Embassy during this diatribe? NO! Once you have your NOA2 then you send an email to NVC requesting that your (petitioner and beneficiary's email) emails be updated and to reflect to contact you when any movement has taken place with your case. Now sit back and wait for the email. Once you have the email that will be your approval. Hey, did I tell you yet to call USCIS, NVC or your Embassy? NO!

The key is to follow other timelines so you can compare it against your experience and or you'll know what to expect. And here is how that works.

There are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them. Also, there is another place you can go and follow others who are processing the same time you are and for the same Embassy. Go to the blue ribbon at the top of this page and select "portals". Scroll down the left-hand side of the page till you get to VJ "your country's name" Timelines. Just below it you'll see "K-1" so you select it and out pops a window with others from your country.

People like yourself don't trust the process. You have to trust the process.

I do not really understand the reason for your attitude. I did not ever claim that you told me to call anyone.

“People like me” would really appreciate not being spoken down to in such a condescending manner. If you wouldn’t mind.

I have my NOA2 which is the approval, so I am not sure what you’re getting at about sitting back after updating my email and waiting for the approval? Maybe you mean the Consulate Case Number?

Anyway, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt (again) and put your tone down to the lacking nuances of communicating via a platform such as this. It doesn’t come across well. FYI.
