Is not about honest or not, cause I can book my medical before my DS160, I just need the embassy letter, my passport etc... but not my DS 160, so I can say YES.

Yeah I get what your saying 😊 I booked my medical before my DS160 but I haven’t actually got my documents yet so therefore I said no.

Hi

My NVC status changed to READY from in Transit  on Oct 4th and since then it's been changed again and today I checked again and it says Oct 10th.

What does this mean?

Thanks

First, your file was in transit to the Embassy hence the "Transit" indicator was showing for your case. Once the case is received at the Embassy then your status changed to READY very normal. Then whenever your record is "touched" your case status will update to a new date. VERY VERY Normal. There is nothing there to be concerned about. Try and not overthink this process. You're going to be fine.

Hello,

I booked my interview today (October 31st). Do you think it is safe to book the ticket to the US for 3 weeks after the interview?

Also, it is so much cheaper to get a round trip ticket than a one way one. Can this be a problem at the POE? I intend to just not use the return ticket.

Thank you

It's always best to wait till visa is in hand. Or make sure it's transferable ticket.

Seems it's cheaper for a return ticket. Make sure u cancel return leg of flight

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Thank you.

I was going to book a ticket that allows me to change the date for a small fee if it is necessary.

For the return flight, should I cancel before the ongoing flight?

Schedule ur return flight out as far as u like. The further out u schedule it sometimes u can get a cheaper price. Plus it's one less thing u need to worry about as soon as u get here.

Once u have settled in the USA call and cancel return flight.
