Hi all, for those of you that have cases In Transit & Ready, approx how long did it take for your case to go from At NVC to In Transit? Just trying to get my head around time frames for medical/interview. Thank you!

It took for mine 7 days to leave the NVC. It left on the 3rd and I'm hoping it arrives at the embassy sometime today but I'm not holding my breath. Post NOA2 it all has been moving along apace which I'm grateful for given how long it took for the NOA2 to arrive. :)

To schedule the interview, it is $265 for a K1 visa.

For the medical fee, I think it varies by country, since each individual embassy seems to be in charge of that process.

For the Philippines, it amounts to around $330 when converted from the local currency. Quite pricey, so contact your fiance's embassy or their medical exam provider to make sure you know exactly what they want.

Hi, I got NOA 2 Sept 19, called NVC this morning and was told it has not been received. While I have seen people with NOA2 on Sept 21 get their NVC numbers and scheduling an interview. Does it mean that same thing that happens with some getting sent and some not getting sent irrespective of the dates still happens? I don't seem to get it.

It's impossible to understand the process as there are so many influences acting on your case and at different times, that you don't have access to. Sarge this is a good time to get a hobby because this is how it works for step of the way.

Next you'll wait for interview, after that wait for visa, after that wait for her/him to arrive in states, after that wait for SSN to arrive, after that wait to get married, after that wait for marriage certificate, after that wait for Green Card, after that... Do you see a pattern here yet??

My lawyer is telling me to wait to fill to the DS160 unit we get a case number. I want to fill it out now and save it so when we get out case number we can schedule our interview ASAP. How long is a saved DS160 application good for? and should we wait?

Holy cow!!!!! We were able to schedule the interview for November 30th.  Not sure why the website would show dates available for the VAC appointment and then on the next screen say no appointment available.  Went two weeks out and was able to schedule the VAC and obviously it worked.  At least the medical can be done since she was not able to schedule without the appointment time.  Just waiting now for the case to say Ready.😃😃😃

How were you able to schedule the interview before the case says Ready? Just curious as we can't even create a profile to login to schedule or make the payment. Our case is still in transit too. Hoping for it to be ready by Tuesday (I believe Monday is a holiday) and hoping for an interview this month!
