We received our case number!

NOA2 - 09/20

NVC - 04/10

Guys, you should call NVC even if you received email from them that they haven’t received your case yet!

I and my fiancé received emails from NVC that they haven’t received our case yet and it would take up to 6 weeks but my fiancé just called them and was told that we had even case number assigned! 😄

Hey!

my fiancé in America rang up on Tuesday around 5pm and was on hold for around ten mins. They gave her the case number straight away and that was it.

I looked on on the website and it said at NVC and then I emailed them telling them my email. Not heard anything since but I only did that this morning so not been a long while.

Thank you for sharing! It helps a lot!

we decided to call after I read your message and we found out that NVC received our case and they assigned a new number 👍🏻

Haha I'm not even ready! We haven't paid our embassy fee and my fiance was planning to go on Monday because we thought transit would take 2 weeks! Was totally not expecting it so fast!

Also reached ready status today! 🤩

Still in a holding pattern for scheduling an interview though... No appointments available has been the answer for the past 3 days... 🙄

It's been my mantra that those in the Philippines did not have to wait for their case to be in transit before completing the steps toward the visa. It may not be important to you but you lost 2-3 week which would put you on a plane to the US in two weeks from now.

I'd like to know when you get the email with the case number. Curious if a day or so difference between your phone call and the actual email is going to be that much of a difference in the speed in which you move your visa forward.

I have a question: when my fiancé called to NVC they gave him information about our case #, invoice # and beneficiary ID #.

I have already filled in ds-160, but there were no questions about beneficiary ID or invoice #. Where I will use this information (especially beneficiary ID)?

If I understand right, I will use receipt # (after it was paid) to schedule my interview, soI'm confused a little bit about this beneficiary ID 😅

I need the NVC email than getting the case number via phone call. I can’t get my Hongkong Police Clearance without it. May I ask how long do we need to wait for that email?

My fiancé received email on Oct 2nt, I received email on Oct 3rd. (it was told that they haven't received our petition from USCIS and it would take up to 6 weeks).

He called yesterday (on Oct 4th) and we received case #.

You were to register your email after receiving your NOA2 and it was to be addressed to NVC which would in turn keep you posted concerning the movement of your case. Now it's kind of like your trying to close the barn door to keep the horse from escaping but he is standing behind you on the outside. It's too late. Were you just looking for updates or the case number from the email?

Like I said that is ALWAYS going to be their answer. Doesn't mean squat and you know that as you been following the thread with everyone else chiming in with their experience.

He called yesterday (on Oct 4th) and we received case #. And I am saying that in a day or so you will probably get an email with your case number. I just wanted to know when that happens if you would be so kind as to let me know as I am curious.

I read all of this from your first post, your just repeating what you said earlier.

Here is another approach that does get answered. It's used for a number of different reasons but both give you the same results. This is more direct for the case number.

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov    I highly recommend you email NVC for the case #, even if you call and get it, this will give you a correspondence from NVC with the case # for future reference.

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

It's okay, my fiance isn't in much of a hurry. I'd rather he be relaxed as much as possible and not stressed out and in a rush since he's nervous enough as it is anyway. I'm just glad to see that all the tips and advice that you guys have been helping us with here on VJ have been working well so far
