Unfortunately that seems to be the trend.:( Not sure why some people who have the 27th got In transit and some did not.  I think there some people who have dates before us and did not get transferred. I guess the positive thing is that we are a lot closer than we were 7 months ago.

I am 17th still at nvc

I have a question, my case was approved on Sept 14 and was received at NVC today does anyone know how long it’s taking from them to get a case number since the recieved date?

If you call tomorrow strong possibility that you will get it

Our case still has not been received yet (NOA2: 7/9)

Does NVC have any special procedure to receive the file from USCIS?

Or it might be pending at farther security checks since the beneficiary is Syrian?

Hi, guys! Going to call the NVC for our case number this week on Friday. NOA2 was on September 21. I just have one question:

My fiance in London moved apartments during our wait for the NOA2. Do I communicate this to the NVC, or to the embassy when we get our case number? Do I call the embassy and provide his new address? Should I email? Both? I just need to be sure that the embassy knows about the new address before they mail him a letter with more detailed instructions (the P3?) to his old address.

Help!

Hi guys need your help sorry for all the question but me and my fiance are green about these things. Does NVC need the bank statement, tax return and employment letter plus the affidavit. And do you pay a fee am confused since I have not seen any forum on kenya

NVC does not require for K1 visa.  These documents will most likely be required at the interview. Fees are paid when you schedule the interview. At the top of VJ website there is a portal section which gives country specifics. Might be a good place to start and give some answers that you may still have. Congratulations on making it to the NOA2 to NVC stage😀

So i played around and tracked cases with similar numbers (for example ours is ...001, i tracked ...002, ...003, ...004 etc.) Turned out there is a pile of 4 cases which werent transfered yesterday. Like they are sitting on someones desk or something. I wonder wether its a trend or just a coincidence...

Hi All,

I & my fiancé subscribed for updates about our case on NVC's web site and sent them inquiry last week (to update our email addresses). Our NOA2 (hard copy) was dated 09/20 (or 09/21 on old web site). I've just received email from NVC that they haven't received our case. It says that it can take 6 weeks for NVC to receive ur approved petition 😕

I hope this is a template which they send to everyone and it doesn't mean that we have to wait for the next 6 weeks...I do really hope they will receive it on this Friday or next Monday.

Do you think it make sense to call them on Friday or should we just wait for the next email from them? Is it possible that won't send notification via email when they will receive our petition (assign case #)?

From the letter:

"Thank you for your inquiry. We do not have a record of receiving your petition.

It can take at least six weeks for the National Visa Center (NVC) to receive an approved petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and enter it in the U.S. Department of State's database system. If it has been less than six weeks since USCIS approved your petition, you don't need to take any action at this point."

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Ours, too. We just received the case number last night. Is it safe to assume we should be included in the next batch 2 weeks from now?

I wouldn't count on that. As some who had nvc number in time are still waiting. All u can do is wait and see now...

I think it’s just a template. We called 2 weeks after we got the NoA-2 the guy said it can take up to 6 weeks. I was checking other people’s timelines and thought it shouldn’t take so long.. so, being as impatient as I am we called them yesterday - day 19th - and they had even the case number assigned. So, don’t worry just call them after 2-3 weeks 😊

Hi, I have a question. We are a little confused which form in IRS to submit because my husband got his 1099misc later after he filed his 2017 W2 . In his tax return transcript in IRS, only his income in w2 reflected and that is below the hhs poverty guideline . But he has another form the 1040X amended income tax return which added his 1099 income -- that one is above the HHS poverty guideline. Can we submit the 1040X instead?

He should be able to order the tax transcripts and they will have all this information on them.
