I also asked them when it would go out from NVC when I received my number and basically got the standard answer that they don't know when it will be sent.   Hopefully you will make it in the next batch.

Thank you, But the next batch... 2 weeks?

Unfortunately that seems to be the trend.:( Not sure why some people who have the 27th got In transit and some did not.  I think there some people who have dates before us and did not get transferred. I guess the positive thing is that we are a lot closer than we were 7 months ago.

I just want to be sure we get the medical done before the interview of course and  not have to reschedule. I seen some people timelines for my country with 10 days to the interview once the embassy received it but it varies by case. I was under the impression it only takes a few days to change to ready for the electronic files and the physical ones arrive after?

That's correct about once they recieve it only takes a few days for them to get everything In order. It's the time it takes to get to them that can vary

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

If I the petitioner fill out the DS-160 form for my finance completely it will save the form and then all she would need to do is submit it from her computer for the electronic signature correct?

MNL is the first three digits oh a Philippines case number so ignore and replace with yours. I cut and paste and forgot to change the verbiage.

Yes that's a good process but make sure she looks it over also before submitting.

Update:

After e-mailing NVC yesterday to request that I be updated by e-mail should any changes to my case occur, they've now e-mailed me informing me that my petition has been sent to the embassy and attached an official-looking letter that has our case number and other information. For Manila applicants, I think this is the one that we can print out and bring to perform the medical with.

Hi there, kababayan! I filled up the form to submit an inquiry in their website, but I haven't got any reply. Did you send them the inquiry using your personal email?

Edit:

I replied without checking the CEAC tracker first. Ours just changed to IN TRANSIT. So happy! Can we now go and schedule? I still don't have any email from the NVC

There is very minimal processing done by nvc on k1’s as they leave it to the embassy to process the cases. I learned a great deal about the process as my case was received by nvc on 9-5 and my case just left nvc today as it did not go out with the 9-18 batch.

I kept on on asking for supervisor after supervisor, going up the chain of command until  what I got on the phone was a unit chief I believe as the customer service reps were of no help.  My case sat at nvc for no apparent reason.

Here is what this individual told me. When they receive the approved 129f from UScis, The check to ensure that it’s been stamped. He said they occasionally receive a petition from US CIS and it does not have the appropriate approval stamp in the upper left-hand corner. They are also checking to make sure that the three criminal questions have been answered. He noted that there are times when the petitioner  will forget to complete those questions and those questions are subsequently missed by the adjudicator.  In both of these instances the case will then be sent back to UScis. He said if one of these things occur nvc would know within the first week of receiving the case.

He also noted that he would be lying to me if he told me that they did not do background checks at the nvc level for k1.  He didn’t go into detail but he said FBI name checks are done at the UScis. I know this issue has been discussed here before @Greenbaumbut it sounds like they are doing something.

The supervisor I spoke w was very helpful. He actually had the power to pull my case and tell me exactly what was going on. He didn’t want to do that unless my case didn’t go out in the batch today as it could take it out of its process. He spoke with me in the morning did some research and called me back in the afternoon. I honestly did not expect him to give me a call but he went above and beyond and actually cared.

 Tnx for this information
