Go ahead and start by having your fiancee pay for the visa at PBI Bank. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp Here's a complete list of whet to do there in Manila before scheduling the interview http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html  Don't wait get the ball rolling and good luck on your journey. If you do everything correctly your jiancee could be here within 2 months!

Thank you! I'm the beneficiary. 😊

No need for the email from NVC

Okay, phew... lol. I was like "WHAAAAAAT DO I DOOOOOOO"

haha... hahahaha .... okay, just wait some more. I am a pro at that. I can do that, LOL

Also, the web address you gave me said my case is "At NVC" and to follow steps 1 - 6 and the directions that were emailed to me. I never received an email. Yes, I have updated my email address and yes, it was the correct email address because they got back to me when I updated it..... Should I have received something already?

Don't worry. I didn't receive any email. That message at the NVC website says is a generic message for all NVC cases so don't pay attention to it. Keep tracking your case!

For the NVC it's actually considered an immigrant visa.

Let me know if you have other questions!

So we should be all in transit to our embassies by tomorrow or Wednesday right? We have our interview the 18th and medical tomorrow so cutting it close

Let's hope that what NVC was doing for the past 2 months soon to be 3 that they send all the approvals up to last Friday. Good luck to you all. I hope things continue to progress but one never knows till the FAT lady sings.

Meaning: It ain't over till (or until) the fat lady sings is a colloquialism which is often used as a proverb. It means that one should not presume to know the outcome of an event which is still in progress.

No need for an email as long as u have a NVC number so have your fiancee take care of the visa fee of $265.00 at BPI bank as soon as possible and then start on your DS160 visa application so as long as u have your NBC number u can get a lot done.

Don't follow those steps for K-1 visa. You just have to wait for your case to be shipped to the embassy and say "ready". Check the status of your case here https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Once it says "ready" it means you can schedule your interview.

Good luck

Each Embassy is different. For instance, once the Philippines has their case number and while the file is still in NVC hands they can schedule the interview and do the medical all without waiting. Other Embassy require you to wait till the file is ready AND they have contacted you to begin the process. Others require you to complete the DS-160 and once it has been submitted the Embassy contacts them to schedule the interview. So there are a host of different processes.

Just keeping it real.

Hello, guys! We finally got our MNL case number. The ceac tracker says, it's still at NVC. Should I wait for it to indicate "Ready" before starting everything?

Thank you 😊

Nope.

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

We had a bit of an update to our case. My fiancee received an email that she is now able to schedule an interview. Not extremely helpful considering there are no available appointment times right now in Moscow, but it's some progress. Case is still at NVC according to CEAC.
