noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Why don't you do one better and register your email (both petitioner and beneficiary's) and you will be updated each and every time your case gets touched. You'll learn when it leaves USCIS, you'll learn when it is received NVC and you will receive a notice when your case number has been assigned. All you have to do is stay off the phone. Here is the link to register your email https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

One other item; many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Is it ok to fill out this information on their site even if its only been a couple days since receiving my approval from the USCIS?

HI

First I would like to congrats to all who received their visa and safe travel to the states. My fiance is from zambia and i didnt find any zambia forum and I was hoping you guys can give me some insights. I wanted to know how long would it take for NVC to approve and send the documents to embassy. I called NVC and they told me that your case will be done soon. NVC recieved my case September 14 2018. I also got my case number and keep track on the website but all it says that its at NVC. If you guys could help me out and let me know how long it took you guys for NVC to approve I would really apperciate it. I am nervous because the wedding date is december 15 2018 and looks like im  cutting it close. Any help I would really apperciate it.

Your answer lies within the last 45 tabs of this thread. That Question has been answered many times. We need you to get caught up so best if you do a little reading. Each Embassy is different so it would be just a guess.

WE GOT OUR CASE NUMBER!!!

Okay... sooooooooo...... WOOT!!!

I will start by scheduling our medical appointment. Then We will fill out DS160...

In the meantime we will get all the documents needed (like someone else said prior to me, in Turkey you can print out your police and military records online and in English - very nice!) for the interview..

Does this sound like I am doing things correctly?

Also, what is NVC's "Step 1: Choose an Agent" ?  I am a bit lost with that....

And also where it says this:

After you choose your agent, you need to pay your processing fees. There are two processing fees:

  • Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee
  • Affidavit of Support Fee

It says I must pay these things before going on to the next step? Is this an immigrant visa, and k-1 is a non-imm? Is that why I'm seeing this?

I really can't believe things are moving along :) ❤️

Now I want to know when we can call for the case number.  I saw to wait 2 weeks, but I am hoping/thinking this is a bit long?

What is the magic os 10 days?

2 weeks is the norm and then get your case number as well and pay for the visa as soon as possible.

Okay... maybe it is the adrenaline from getting our case number, but I'm freaking out a bit. Yes, calm down... think.... got it. However, that isn't working so well....

I go to this site and I begin here on Step 1. Do I follow each step 1 - 6?

Sorry guys...

Hello, guys! We finally got our MNL case number. The ceac tracker says, it's still at NVC. Should I wait for it to indicate "Ready" before starting everything?

Thank you 😊

Don't follow those steps for K-1 visa. You just have to wait for your case to be shipped to the embassy and say "ready". Check the status of your case here https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Once it says "ready" it means you can schedule your interview.

Good luck

Okay, phew... lol. I was like "WHAAAAAAT DO I DOOOOOOO"

haha... hahahaha .... okay, just wait some more. I am a pro at that. I can do that, LOL

Also, the web address you gave me said my case is "At NVC" and to follow steps 1 - 6 and the directions that were emailed to me. I never received an email. Yes, I have updated my email address and yes, it was the correct email address because they got back to me when I updated it..... Should I have received something already?
