I will check thanks!

Do you know if Tirkey does the notifying via email or regular mail?

I really don’t know but I think it is email.

and you can find all necessary documents list (p3) online for Turkey.

I'm sorry if this had already been asked. But I would like to know if NVC processes cases at all the same rate or do they process cases going to some embassies faster than to others?

Let's say a petition going to the Philippines and a petition going to Russia, will they process and send one out faster than the other or are given the same attention?

Each case stands on its own. Each case is different when it comes to background checks etc. Each Embassy is different when it comes to how they process the case for adjudication. Each file will be transferred either by courier (most cases DHL) or electronically and is solely dependent on what the Embassy is earmarked. No one knows which Embassy is courier or electronic. There is no list for this. So the conclusion is that the system (USCIS, NVC or Embassy) has not been pigeon holed to what they do or when they do it and they are not about telling us. Hence, the ambiguity when you call and their answer is different each time you call.

I hope this helps.

So NVC do background check again? Thought only USCIS does. That's why USCIS have options  either  to approve or deny the petition . Just curious

Just curious, where on your NOA2 does it note which embassy your petition was sent?

Believe first 3 letters of nvc number should inform u of which embassy.

https://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm US Senators

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

NVC can actually send the petition back to uscis for review if they see fit. And there is also AP in NVC stage. It is just rare for k1

Right side , top (ish) but there are two form templates as Naes pointed out. Mine must be the "other" template. It is also slightly a green shade of paper and not as legal "form" looking as my NOA1.

No NVC does not do background check. I think you read into my post as I didn't mention that they did.

Anyone found it hard to tell family the news? I finally did it today. It cut me up to see them upset even though they want it for us, sometimes this process just feels selfish. Anyone ever feel like that?

Oh okay. Yeah that helps. I know how it works here I'm Brazil at the embassy stage and all. I just wasn't sure how they treated the petitions while at NVC. So like, would a petition from Brazil be processed at the same rate as petition from Mexico and stuff like that.

Do you know if NVC will accommodate beneficiaries that call? Bc USCIS was always reluctant to give me information when I called lol. Out of all the times I called I managed to get information 3 times 😐

There is no bias in who goes to the front of the line. First in first out.

I know it would be very bitter sweet if my sister or brother was leaving the country. So s/he would also be feeling this loss. And as happy as we are for them we mourn their absence :(

Some people may not feel the absence as much as others, some feel it tremendously.

i am so close with my family that I don't know how I would ever leave the country.

I understand how the OP is feeling
