So our interview is on Monday. I sent a binder of everything he will need (perfectly organized), but sadly it will not reach him in time (its beyond 2 weeks from the guaranteed delivery date). Is it an issue if he does not have originals with him? He will have his original letter of intent and BC. Plus printed copies of our pics and call logs. We have an email from Aruba's ministry of justice, where he lived just shy of 6 months, with a scanned copy of his letter of good conduct. I'm just so nervous because we have waited 10 months for this and Fedex throws us a MAJOR curve ball.

The only originals needed are birth certificate, passport photo (beneficiary) and police certificate

If you have all the documents, in the manner which it states (original or copy) then you should not have a problem. The main thing is that he knows you very well because the questions are going to be geared toward the relationship. So if he feels confident about your relationship and you personally then he should fly right through this. The interview will last all but 10 minutes and it will be over.

Be sure he smiles, looks the CO in the eyes when answering the questions and speaks up so the CO can hear the answers without struggling. If he doesn't know an answer to a question, it's fine if he says that he doesn't know. ALWAYS tell the truth. One last thing is tell him to keep his answers short and to the point. When someone gives a rambling answer it only opens up additional questioning by the CO. We want to avoid that.

One last item. Select your flag in your profile on the left hand column and it will take you to a page dedicated to your embassy. Look for consulate reviews and read what others have written about their experience.

Good luck.
