have you been to the subform for your country here on VJ. Lot of experts there that can help you out. Do you have a copy of the P3 letter? Everything for the interview is contained within the letter.

Yes and yes, however it isn’t very helpful. The US embassy in Ghana is not straightforward and alot of people don’t even get an email so we are left to schedule the interview ourselves. A lot of people scheduled their interview within 3 months of hearing from NVC, but this is the first I’m hearing about the expiration date of the NOA2.

I never received my NOA 2 approval letter in the mail.   I have been approved since September 12.  My finance has here interview on November 16.  I read you do not need it for the interview  but you will need it for the AOS stage.  Should I contact USCIS to mail it to me again or should I wait to after the interview in my finance has her visa?   I will be moving also on November 16 same city just new house.

If you want to get a copy make an infopass appointment and ask for a printed copy of your approval on their system. If you don't have a receipt number on your K1 visa they will give it to you if you provide your A number (from your K1 visa and I-94). This is the simplest way of securing a copy of your NOA2. Otherwise, you will be on the phone, emailing back and forth and in the end still not have your NOA2. To schedule and infopass meeting see below. It's better to do it now then wait till he/she is in country. IMHO

USCIS provides a free service called InfoPass that allows customers to schedule an appointment with USCIS through the internet. Whenever possible, customers or their representatives who reside in the United States (domestically) should use InfoPass to schedule appointments if they would like to discuss their cases in person at their local USCIS field office. Customers and their representatives may also use InfoPass to cancel or reschedule appointments.

:wow:So, in your original post you asked two (2) questions. To save MY time I answered "yes and yes" with the intent you would know what yes and yes meant (clue - the answer to your questions). I know how hard Ghana is. I've been here answering questions for over 4 years. I'm here to help but with your attitude it does not motivate me to help you in the future. Most here spend the time to be appreciative of my help.

Hi there,

I was hoping you can clarify this question for me, as soon as you did your ds-160  and paid you had the option to look at the embassy's appointment calendar? Did you ever get a letter from them stating your case is with them and you are now able to submit paper work for an appointment?

Thank you

Because each Embassy can be different it's hard for anyone to give you the correct answer to your questions.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once I see your profile change, there is a very good possibility I can help you with your question and some that you haven't even asked yet. :D

Thanks

P3 Letter

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

Link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Get the Juarez K1 Embassy instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ%20-%20Ciudad%20Juarez.pdf (Spanish) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cBWgGJr4a5ay3b4OV28_dC3pgf63ZUr-/view?usp=sharing (English) as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

Hi!  Yes as soon as I paid I was able to look at available dates.  The earliest appt was March 5th(this was two days ago) but I chose the following Friday of March 15th.  My fiancee has kids and they need to go to medical 4 business days before the interview date because they will be administered a TB test which take 72 hours to get the results back.

I received the consulate letter a week after I received the email from NVC.
