Great news just got my NVC case number by email. I emailed them yesturday morning and got my case number today morning. Didnt need to call NVC

I am very very happy.

But a little confused because while my case was at USCIS i sent a letter for an address and embassy change to Costa Rica, and USCIS approved the change, but today that i got my NVC number the case is being sent to my fiance's home country Nicaragua.

Now i guess i have to call NVC to see what address the p3 will go to. 😣

And i wanted to know does the petitioner recieve p3 through mail as well or only the beneficiary???

If you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, please contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and follow their instructions for case transfer. Please click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.

The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process.

Once you contact your New Embassy you then can discuss the transfer of your fee. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.

Now i guess i have to call NVC to see what address the p3 will go to. 😣 NVC has nothing to do with the P3. That's solely a function of the Embassy. Here is the P3 letter for Costa Rica https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DGi7puUW79v68Y1H6DAwaOT4tx8RYiuP/view?usp=sharing

And i wanted to know does the petitioner receive p3 through mail as well or only the beneficiary??? Everything after the notification of the case number will now go to the beneficiary most times via email. Update your email by following the instructions below.

Greenbaum Tip: Once you receive your NOA2 approval then contact NVC via https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to update your email address as well as your beneficiary's email address. This will give you an email alert when your file arrives at NVC, your case is assigned and when the file leaves for your Embassy.

We are also “in transit”. What document do you need before you can book medical appointment? I’ve only filled out da 160 but we are yet to pay for visa.

Here is an advance copy of the Medical instructions and your P3 from your Embassy. Please read this information as it will answer many questions.

oh they did email my fiance.. Thank you!

Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course, it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps, he includes the what, when and why to complete the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next, you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like-minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread is processing through another country they would be hard-pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

Hey,

can I have a question, were you able to see the calendar at USA docs website since your case was "ready" or "in transit" already? I tried to get all the way to the calendar but it doesn't even show me the calendar so I am thinking it is because our case is still in transit...? Or I hope that is the case since they even let me pay for the interview but didn't show me the dates 😂

Interview payments do not get posted for 12-24 hours so try again later. Once you see the calendar those dates that are greyed out are not available. If no dates are available then you will need to keep checking until such time as your Embassy opens more dates. Expect a long delay for Czech Republic.

Search and study this page.

Here is information on your Embassy found here on VJ

Here is the link to what is needed for Nicaragua. https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/MNG-Managua.pdf  I don't have a P3 letter from Nicaragua and so if you get one can you share a copy with me as I use them to help others that will come behind you. Thanks.

When you get your case number if it starts with these three letters MNG then your case is heading to Nicaragua.

NVC sent paperwork yesterday to embassy and even though it still says ‘in transit’ I’ve been super lucky and it’s just allowed me to book my interview appointment for the 2nd November. I’ve paid for the courier and received email confirmation about my interview date but WHERE THE HELL DO I PAY FOR THE INTERVIEW? Am I being stupid and missing a magical button or something?

We were able to book medical for November 15th and interview November 16th

we r aware that medical has more then a 1 day turn around😂😂.

it save a extra trip down to London from Sheffield tho.

Figure we may have visa in hand first week of December. But, not worried if we don't as we r planning late January POE.

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

U can go back in and pay for ur medical and change appointment if need be. If u would of just clicked ur way thru it asked u to pay for interview and if u wanted delivery to home or business.

log back in and at click continue. Then at bottom u can pay

I jus ‘rescheduled’ it (for the same time) and it still didn’t ask for payment. It actually allows you at the end to upgrade to courier service in a pop up screen. I’ve contacted embassy, I’m thinking there maybe a glitch in mine.

When you sign out and sign back in and you get your main page and you click 'Continue' at the top right corner, what does it say when you click 'View payment receipt' ?
