noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Went to the London embassy on 2nd November and was approved. CEAC changed on Tuesday to AP, no movement yet 😢

When the Embassy is ready to issue a visa, it will change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you will know that you are a few days away from getting the visa. It will go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" status and then your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued" status as well. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.

Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".

There are no promises made that you will get your visa at any certain time. I have seen visa's issued within hours of the interview and those that were issued a year later. Most are issued within 5-10 business days. Monday is a holiday so don't expect anything to happen.

Update. My fiancee arrived safely in Orlando Fl yesterday. She had to wait about 2 hours through immigration. The interview was much harder and longer at the airport than the embassy! Be prepared. Also the officer somehow knew that I did not speak my fiancee's language even though I never made that public record. Be honest and be prepared! The process is not over once you have your visa in hand.

Congratulations.  I cannot wait for that day.  We are very excited to be together again. O man...lucky you.  I bet its like Christmas and you get another one commng up.

My fiance will be arriving through the Miami POE.  Can you tell us a bit more about the questioning ?  Any lessons learned or word of prevention that you can give us would be appreciated.  Whats her first reaction to coming to USA?

Sincerly,

Alfredo and Denisse

Yes it's amazing! And she was a little overwhelmed but obviously very excited.

Be ready for any questions that could have been asked during the interview. Your fiancee will probably be waiting  2 hours between the line and the waiting room. Anything and everything will come to light during this interview. So anything on the US petitioners criminal record will be mentioned to the beneficiary and used to question credibility. They will also ask about languages, how you met, and the wedding actual date.

Hi,

As I PMed you the documents that are mentioned in the i134 instructions you should have them definitely. Also you should have pay stubs, IRS and W2 forms as the CO might ask for them. Rest is your choice.

All the best!

All the best!

Thank you for your response! I've been reading a lot of posts on VJ and most of them confirm that you do not need a letter from the bank as long as you are above the poverty line based on your employment letter and IRS Transcrips and the following should definitely be enough as per those posts:

1) Online Bank Statement for the last 3 months
2) IRS Tax Transcripts for the last 3 years
3) W-2 for the last 3 years
4) Letter from the Employer
5) Pay Stubs from the last 3 months

However, those posts are not that recent there I would be relieved if someone here can confirm?

I'm just trying to avoid the bank letter because I've heard the bank (Chase, in my fiancee's case) trouble a lot to give such documents. Can anyone share their experience on this?

Thank you, EVERYONE, in advance :)
