Day 1 Medical - Admission to marijuana use

So my fiance admitted in her medical appointment that she tried marijuana twice when she was in high school (about 16 years ago).  Of course that triggers the requirement for a psychiatric evaluation.  She has to return tomorrow for her second day of medical (vaccinations).  She said she will have to pay 2,000 pesos and schedule the psychiatric appointment (or whatever it is).

I searched the forum and the internet and found some info.  My research indicates that if the psychiatric evaluation indicates she's not an addict or abuser, she'll be fine.  Any thoughts on this?  Also I'm confused whether she'll be having a quick interview about it or an 8 hour evaluation.  Does anyone know?

Correct. If she is determined not to be a current (or likely recurrent) user/abuser, she should get a clean medical result.

I don't know how long it takes, sorry, but likely an hour or couple hours...8 hours would be crazy long IMO. haha

Tons of topics on the Philippine forum on this...  no one has been denied a visa for having "tried" the magic brownies.  ;)

The evaluation might last an hour.  Vaccinations won't be administered until after that is completed if I remember correctly.

Good to hear.  Puts my mind at ease.  She felt really bad after the medical today so she'll be happy to hear this.

Tell her she will be just fine.  Slight delay for the evaluation .. then life moves on.

Nothing wrong with honesty either.  :)
