  • Apr 01 2018 - US Citizen Boyfriend proposed
  • Apr 18 2018 - Got Married in Montana, USA
  • May 15 2018 - Mailed out USCIS applications (I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, I-765, I-131) to Chicago Lockbox
  • (Day 1) May 16 2018 - Mail arrived Chicago Lockbox (confirmed by USPS) 
  • (Day 19) Jun 04 2018 - Received email & SMS notification - case received (All money orders being cashed on this day)

It truly varies, as each state/field office has varying processing times due to some states having a lighter case load than other/larger states. I don't see much info on your profile, but you can try searching the forums for typical AOS expectations and timeframes for your particular state/field office to get an idea on what it looks like.

 

Usually, you don't need to bother checking the mail for an interview notice until the case status changes to something like "Interview Has Been Scheduled". My understanding is that "Ready to be Scheduled" just means you likely won't get an RFE and the case is sitting in queue to be scheduled for the interview.

The online tracker states that we have been "ready to be scheduled for an interview" since March. But we never received a letter stating this. We moved, but we have confirmed multiple times that they have our new address on file. It is like the did not update our address after all 🤷‍♂️

Just thought I would post an update here for anyone who read this later. Today is February 7th, 2019, and we STILL have not been scheduled for the interview. I went to InfoPass and spoke with the agent and they said everything is fine, we just have to wait. I received the Your Case is Ready to Be Scheduled notice on August 8th. It’s been six months.

 

I honestly thought that after all that other stuff this would be the quickest part, I mean, it’s like a twenty minute interview.So anyway, I’ll let you guys know when we actually get it!

I'm confused on why everyone is having to wait so long for their interview date to be scheduled. I thought that part was the quickest for everybody. 

 

My status' went from fingerprints completed to interview ready to be scheduled (from june to december) then i got a letter with the interview date on within a week or two..

02/02/18 - Case Number Received 'In transit to Embassy'

02/08/18 - Embassy Received. Case status set as Ready

03/24/18 - MI Bound

Depends on local USCIS field office. Some have short periods to get scheduled and others are severely backlogged.

The wait to get to the point where you're waiting to be scheduled is typically once NBC finishes adjudication of an I-131 or I-765 associated with the I-485.
