Although I agree with you it is a very important proof of bona fide relationship we are talking about couples who live days away with trips costing 3 - 5k a pop.   I don't know how long the OP was married but if they had two trips in one year that would suffice.  As most couples I have seen do at least that. Ive seen a few couples get through this embassy with one trip and many get a visa with two visits.   Its most likely a multitude of things that we can't answer without knowing all the details.

OP's wife will have to continue to make MORE trips and continue to gather evidence.  As long as they can show the relationship is still ongoing with their rebuttal this can be easily overcome.   Having just two trips will not suffice the second time around and I have seen a case returned again because visits were only made the first year and none the second.

This embassy felt uneasy about the case (for reasons we don't know of) not enough bona fide is generic and used on every NOIR i've seen.

I'm agreed with you. USA to India or Pakistan are different than USA to UK. I saw many couples got one or two visits within year and they got visa. But every case is different.

But the OP's case is being returned for lack of bona fide relationship.  Do you have a better idea than more time spent together to prove a bona fide relationship ?  If so, I please share it.

If  I read it correctly he claims she visited twice in the past year for one month each this could cause a red flag if she doesn't make enough money to do so...Ive seen that come up before I believe it's also an item on a fraud indicator list.

If she did make two trips to see him for one month each I would say that should have been more than enough to satisfy the embassy for FaceTime value....however agree that more trips are extremely important to overcome this claim on the NOIR.

I have seen 6 months mentioned, do not think there is an official period.

Because all of this is the cultural norm I don't think it will be an issue.   Now if you were married to a white American woman then it would be treated differently.
