CEAC Tracking says "Ready"?

ceac.state.gov says that our case number is "Ready" and I can go ahead and schedule interview and medicals yet, when I sent the embassy an email they responded saying they have not received it yet and that it is in transit? Is this another NVC type deal where they're programmed to say they dont have it yet they actually dont really know if it arrived or not. 

 

Note: NVC sent our case to the US embassy 8/21/2018. From the threads and forums they say they send it via DHL and takes no more than 3 days shipping.

Mine it's July24 but still at nvc

not sure if we should just keep emailing the embassy. Did you get the interview date yet?

No, we have not received the interview date yet  But I'm thinking schedule it...

you can schedule it on your own after paying the visa fee
