How were you aware of when your medical was received by the embassy? Was it just the status online.

I had my medical 8th Feb and just booked my interview for Mar 11th (wasn't booked at the time of my medical) and I'm intrigued to know if everything came back all okay and if it's at the embassy yet?

You can call the knigtsbridge place to make sure they already shipped your files to the embassy. If they did and never called you before that, everything should be ok.

I don't fancy the hold times like before, I'll just go by the "no news is good news" approach! :-) Thank you

You can check your status by entering your LDN number here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

and here:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

I have included a screenshot. It will go from 'Ready' to 'AP (Application Processing)' to 'Issued'. Mine had 'Pending' inbetween AP and and Issued just because Knightsbridge were late to submit my medical due to my local GP taking a long time to comply with the request for further medical information. I asked the Officer during my interview if they had received my medical and both officers I spoke to advised me that it was normal for them not to have received the medical yet, but that I was 'Approved, pending received medical'. As soon as the embassy had my medical, within a day my status changed to 'Issued' and I had my passport and envelope in my hands within 3 days.

Thanks.

Wasn't sure if there was a way to check if my medical had been received (without going on hold with Knightsbridge for up to 2-3 hours again :-P ) I guess I'll find out in 3 weeks today if my medical is at the embassy or not.

To be honest, I found it easier just to call Knightsbridge about 2 hours after my GP faxed over the medical history they requested to confirm Knightsbridge had submitted the medical to the embassy. Once I knew they had, I left it alone and just kept checking the visa status. I'm surprised Knightsbridge have had you on hold for that long, what time have you been calling? If you can, aim for between 10-11:45am and you should get through pretty quickly. The worst I had is it took 2 calls to get through. I really do wish that the UK had more certified visa medical areas. I feel bad for people who have to come over from NI by plane, for a simple medical exam. It sucked doing a long train ride

I'll have to see, I've only ever called them to book my appointment and that's it. I will maybe try to call them but I had my medical on the 8th and they said they'd contact me within 3-4 Working days if there were any findings or concerns from my samples, and I've heard nothing so :) Fingers crossed.

It would make much more sense if the likes of Manchester/Edinburgh had visa medical doctors too, I was surprised that London was the only one. I'm from Hull so it's a good 4 - 5 Hour drive down for me (depending on how stupid people are on the M1 :P )

What would you normally wear to go see a doctor? It's nothing that you need to dress up for. Jeans and a shirt or normal clothing should suffice?

Just don't show up in pjs, reserve that for your trip to an American walmart. ;):P

Wear something easy to get off because of the chest x-ray and exam. You do get a gown.  Jewelry that would mess with the chest x-ray is best left at home. And if long haired, some have suggested a rubber band type holder to get it up out of the way of the x-ray.

I saw a man in Starbucks in the middle of the afternoon wearing PJs and a silk dressing gown. I took his picture. 😂

Casual is fine, I wore jeans, tshirt and a hoodie. Seemed to be what most of the other folks were wearing too. I wore jeans, nice shirt and a nice sweater to an interview since it was more formal.
