Finally made it to the NVC!!! CSC can kiss my asp!

LOL

I emailed them (NVC) today (jet lag and all...) I hope I get a reply as quickly as others have from them.

I also hope that when I pick up all the mail that arrived during the 2 weeks I was gone, I find a nice surprise from CSC in there!!!

Wait about 10 days. That is how long mine took to get to NVC.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The NVC automated phone system doesn't work for me and I wondered if anyone else has the problem. When I call it I get the option to choose english or spanish and after choosing I get more of the message but part of the way through it acts like I pressed a button and says sorry I didn't understand your input, then starts over. After doing this a couple times it pretty much tells me (in a nice way) you're too stupid to use this system so we're gonna hang up now.

Anyone else have this looped problem with their automated line?

I also noticed that when I dialed w/ my calling card, it was not registering when I wanted to choose english or spanish....it just kept saying the same thing. Finally I just hung up and dialed direct from my cell phone and then I was able to press 1 for english and 5 for speaking w/ an operator....waited on hold for a few minutes (never longer than 10 minutes) and was connected w/ a live person. Were you perhaps using a calling card? Try calling directly from home phone if you have long distance, or from cell phone.

Good luck!

Good Luck to you!

My jet lag is a bit more worn off now and I decided I did not want to wait for the NVC to reply to my email...

So I called them!!!

I got our case number from them and found out that it had been sent to the embassy as of May 29

OK, I know I read this already, but how long does it normally take to get from the NVC to the Embassy?

i was told 2-4 weeks but NVC sent ours to our consulate in about 2 weeks..

and i also read that a lady from the NVC told a member here - that they dont like to sit on those for too long and tend to send them off straightaway.....
