Long story short, I had a job offer / transfer negotiated with my work that has offices in Canada (where I previously lived) and the US (where I just immigrated to). I was put on a leave of absence until my EAD was approved. I recently found out that my company's leave of absence policy is only valid for 90 days (which was never relayed to me at the time). When I emailed HR to get a "job offer" from them so I can expedite the EAD, I was told that I no longer work for the company anymore.

Is it still possible to get my EAD expedited? I haven't worked for 6 months. By no means am I close being bankrupt, but I spent so many years saving my income, only to watch it dwindle down each month with no end in sight.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can try by "severe financial loss" but seeing as your sponsor has signed an affidavit of support saying they can support you fully that seems counter productive to me. But you can try.

Or find another job and get an job offer. Even with an expedite, it still can take 4-5 weeks at least and may have your EAD by then.

That isn't true. If they do get a job offer (that is for any job, not just this one) they can request an expedite. However, it is not guaranteed that it will be granted.

right, but having filed for it 6 months ago, the EAD is likely to come in BEFORE any expedite ANYWAYS

It's possible. I just wanted to clarify to them that yes, they can request it, regardless of when they get the job offer.

The Affidavit of support only really says that the sponsor can keep the two of us slightly above the poverty level for the approximate duration of the EAD, which at the time was 3 months. Going by similar timelines, I'll be lucky if I get approved before 2019. I only entered the country on the K1 Visa on June 6. We were on Administrative processing for almost 4 months.

What @Ben&Zian is getting at is that USCIS is less than likely to give you an expedite based on financial hardship.
