Guys,

Our petition as approved as of July 31, 2018, and I have received notification on August 21, 2018 that our case has went thru NVC and is being forwarded to the US consulate in Spain, where my fiance lives. But this morning, I got a text message from USCIS saying they were still reviewing my case.

My questions is, is this something I need to worry about, or is this probably a mistake? The email said that "We are still reviewing your case, and there are no updates at this time", saying the last action they took on the case was on July 31, 2018, the same date They said it was approved. Should I call USCIS, and ask what's going on, or what?

     Please help! Thank you!

Most likely a glitch in the system, it happens.

If you got the NVC case number and it is in fact being forwarded to the embassy with that case number, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I would give them a call.   I'm a little confused on how the NVC forwarded to the embassy if you did not complete that process.   Did you receive a NOA2 in the mail?

K1 don't have any process at the NVC beyond a case number, and the case will be forwarded to embassy asap.

Ah...Thanks!

OP I have had updates on my USCIS app that were just redundant from a previous update.   As said above if you have your case number I would just assume it as a glitch.

To Everyone,

    Thank you for your input!

I spoke to USCIS just a little while ago, and they said there is nothing wrong, and that this was a system glitch. Now, we are just waiting on the US Embassy in Spain to get the package, and hopefully all continues to go as smoothly as it has! Although this process is somewhat long, it's not been bad other than the wait. But now, we are approaching the end of the biggest hurdle, then it's off the marriage and an immediate application for AOS. We are both super excited about this!

I got that message this morning as well and we already had our interview

Yes it's an automated update..set for however long. I have had my naturalization for months now and still got email updates just like that until I saw the notification option in the website...

I think its there to let you know they have not forgot about you and to get people to stop calling them every other day about what is going on with their case
