221(g) divorce certifcate - All documents petitioner represented at time of first divorce

As far as I am aware. As I just went through this process in Karachi, Pakistan. The union council no longer issues any certificates for divorce. The only document which is available is the NADRA divorce cert. At the time of the divorce if you husband initiated it he should have sent her a notification of the divorce which is on the affidavit paper (rupee paper). In that it should be mentioned the reason for divorce and the lay out of how the Haq mehr was paid off. The original affidavit should be with your husband and only a copy is sent to the ex wife which she must sign and return. That means she has Recvd the document.

I posted a similar question recently and someone told me the NADRA cert. Is all that is required. Seems confusing.

@Ahmed&Freda  Should we send additional proof like pics and conversation or just what they asked?

At this point I would just send them what they are asking for.   Did you bring these items to the interview?

It is soooo confusing... I thought we had it all straightened out before the interview but they were still not satisfied.  They never asked for anything in addition.  They returned our case to USCIS and in the NOIR the only thing they mentioned about the divorce was that his ex wife still had and ID card under his name.   So it seems they have no issue with the divorce documents we provided.   She updated her CNIC we submitted the proof and our case was reaffirmed.   Just waiting for our second interview.

Ok I get it they want other documents but why transcripts . Didn’t you upload 2017 tax return for sponsor ?

They could want the transcripts as they show exactly what was filed.  A copy of the tax return does not actually prove that it was filed.   In her case I think they are just trying to make sure he is divorced from his ex wife or the timeline of the divorce and current marriage.   Its very easy to overcome once they are satisfied that he is in fact divorced  and did not have immigrant intent for the previous marriage the visa will be issued InshaAllah!

Well when I applied for my sister two year ago, I only gave them Tax Returns, W2 , pay stubs and Social Security Statement.

and that's exactly what I provided this time. Hopefully they wont ask for transcripts. Technically Social Security statement is the same as tax transcript it shows how much income was reported.

They only ask for one or the other you don't need to submit both in her case they are requesting it because they have a concern.   Unless they would have a concern with your case the Tax return and W2s would suffice.

The issue doesn't seem to be because they have concerned he doesn't make enough money...otherwise they would have requested a co-sponsor.   It looks like they want proof of which status he filed.
