Only if the OP's current residence is covered by the Albany office.

Is that so???? I didn't know that. I live in Ulster County so when I put in my zip code I got 3 offices. None of which had appointments and 2 of the 3 were pretty far. I put in the zip code for Albany because it is drivable distance.  We can't do that? Lol. Sorry I didn't know. UsCIS helped me over the phone so thank God I never had to go.

Where there is a will there is a way.

Since your family is in Ohio, and its a much smaller area does your family have any relationship with the congressman? Try to get all paperwork ready and apply for EAD/AP right away. NY is known to have political senators/congressman willing to help so as soon as you have the job offer letter you can start the process to expedite.

An infopass is not going to help with an expedite so dont worry about that.
