Why do some NOA-2's take twice as long then many other peoples?

Hi everyone

 

im currently 3 months into filing a cr-1 visa to go be with my husband in the U.S and ive been looking at many peoples timelines on here who have filed for the same visa.

We are currently waiting for our NOA-2 and our case is at the Texas Service Center so ive been looking at other peoples timeline on here at that center for that specific visa.

 

Ive noticed most people for that visa & at that center get there NOA-2 within 180-200 days (for what ive seen on people timelines ive looked at anyways)

 

But ive come across a couple timelines where its up to 400+ days though

 

what would make someones NOA-2 take twice as long as most other peoples ive come across? I havent seen many timelines like this but ive seen a few and im curious why theres takes twice as long for a noa-2 compared to most ive come across

There are a lot of variables at play.  The foreign spouse's country, the ability to check validity of submitted documents, RFEs and the time respondents submit evidence,  the speed at which some reviewers work........many things can affect the approval.......no 2 cases are equal.

Agreed, it’s like the way some lanes move faster in the higway, some lines move faster during checkout at the stores but with no access to the faster lanes/lines.
