We sent our K1 package in March and hopefully will get approved by October. My fiancé will be visiting me next week. So we were thinking that it will be good if he brings the bank statement, letter of employer and Affidavit of support now in order to avoid sending it over the mail 1 month later.

Have a few concerns though:

1. Do we need to show wet signatures on the bank letter where it says account open date, current balance, total deposits for the past year AND the letter from employer? These will be HR and bank clerk's signatures.

2. Does he have to get the info for his bank account directly from the bank or we can just submit bank statements for the past 12 months? Does his current account balance matter?

3. Current affidavit of support form will be valid until 11/30/2018. If I have my interview scheduled in beginning of December does that mean I will need to wait for him to complete the updated form and if yes, is the wet signature there a must? It would be much easier if he can scan it and send it to my email.

Thanks!

I didn't have any wet signatures on my bank statements or letter from the bank showing account opening and current balance. I did have a wet signature on my I134 for sure, as that was required. I didn't have any signatures on any other financial docs like paystubs or Tax transcripts. Just on the I134. Not sure about the form, and I'm not sure if you have any leeway on since the old form ends 11/30, and if your interview is say 12/02. That's a good question. I would think you have a grace period to switch to the new form, but it is the us government we are talking about, so I am not sure how that would go. I doubt the CO would even know about the new form, takes a while for them to get the memo I'm sure. Hopefully someone else can answer that.

i would wait until you have the NOA2 before preparing financial documents. bank statements are fine in most cases. current balance is not important for most consulates.  You will also need proof of current income (pay stubs, letter from employer) and previous tax statements.

the i 134 requires a wet signature.

1) no wet signature was required in our case. i would also wait till noa-2 to get all the statements of banks and letter of employment. I did get my letter of employment like 2 months ahead of our interview, but my employer didn't mind making another one with a more recent date.

2) yes, get the info from the bank directly. I talked to a account manager, did not get the letter from just the clerck. I have a small credit union, so they tend to be more flexible and gave me a letter with the required info and wet signature

3) the affidavit of support I-134 doesn't come into the picture until the interview. He can just redo it, sign it and email it. No wet signature required in none of the documents, and they can be scanned.
