Hello,

Can we submit an affidavit of support from one of the permanent resident's family who is NOT a US citizen and does NOT live in the US?

Thank you

Are you talking about the 864/134 or are you talking about someone writing a letter stating they support your marriage/engagement?

Hello everybody,

Sorry, I am talking about the removal of conditions, since I posted this on the forum of the removal of conditions, I thought it was obvious I was talking about the I-751

Affidavit or letter of support to prove our bona fide marriage.

Can it be from someone on the permanent resident's side? Meaning NOT a US citizen or living in the US?

Thank you

Affidavit Support should be USC or LPR living in the US since they need to provide their complete name, address, birthday and contact information on the affidavit letter.

You may want to rephrase the terminology, it's confusing!  One way to phrase it would be an affidavit or a declaration attesting to a marriage

It has to be from a USC or an LPR.. resident in the US.

I sent two. One from a friend in the united states and one from my friend in Canada. I haven't received anything from uscis in regards to it,  but I know they don't hold much weight in an application.

An affidavit in support of the marriage being bona fide can be from literally anybody.

It also has very little to no no value. It's better than sending nothing at all, but if you have other evidence of a bona fide marriage, that is more important.
