Hi,

Would be grateful for a bit of help here.

I lived in Germany for a year and am wondering if I need to get a police check from Germany as part of the documentation I need to collect for my end of the K-1 visa application.

I've seen a similar question but this related to having been in the army and stationed there which doesn't apply in my case.

Thanks

Check your embassy's website. Frequently, it will include the "Checklist" items that you'll need to provide. A police certificate is usually requested from places where you've lived for a specific number of time. There are some countries that are exempt (because they don't issue, or the US can get the information another way).

Check your region forum as well.
