I keep logging in to check for cancellations and haven't seen any yet (I've only been checking for 5 days though). The earliest appointment they have at the moment is 31st October unfortunately :( they seem to be really backed up at the moment!

hopefully you manage to get a cancellation!

oh wow so by the end of Sept I don't imagine the prospects are gonna be much better :( guess i'll hope for logging into book on a luck day!

Did you book it through the immigrant visa site (green site)? It automatically came up with the payment stuff when I booked mine so I'm not sure. The website I booked my interview with is: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv

Thank you for your help! Needed to remove my application and reapply, then the payment page came up. Appointment is later now but at least it’s sorted. Thanks again!

Does anyone know how many times you can reschedule your interview without paying the fee again? I think I read a while back in another forum that you can only do it once without paying again but I just wondered if anyone here has any experience doing it?

I don't think I've ever heard that here in the U.K. Forum.

That’s a good sign at least! I rescheduled mine yesterday (only brought it forward by 2 days but that’s progress still! 😃). It still allows me to go to the reschedule page on the site so hopefully it’s just as many times as you need!

I’ll let everyone know if I end up rescheduling again and if it makes me pay or not 😊

Hey there, in a similar situation myself. My case stated “ready” so I booked my appointment with the uk embassy and got an appointment but nowhere could I pay for the interview. So I’m concerned now that I may have done something wrong. Any advice?

Hi, same situation as yourself, did you have any luck in paying?

If you’ve scheduled a K Visa appointment and haven’t paid for it, then prepare to lose that appointment date as you need to re-register on the iv website!

When you register on the iv (immigrant visa) website (the green one) When you are the page that reads “Sign Up” you will see 6 conditions. You must choose the condition that reads "I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment."

On the next screen, you MUST make sure you select the option that states you are applying for a K Visa. You’ll know you’ve selected the right option as it asks for your DS-160 number (if it asks for a DS-260 number, you’ve made a wrong choice).

It will then take you to the payment screen and delivery option screen where you pay for the visa and then can choose your interview date.

If you, like me, chose an immigrant visa instead of a k-visa, then you’ll need to cancel your original account, which deletes your interview appointment and delivery. You won’t be able to schedule your old interview date, so prepare for a few weeks added on until your interview. You must delete your old account if you want to use the same email address for your new one and you can only do this before you start your new account.

It was frustrating as hell to find this out the hard way, but my interview date is only 4 weeks later than planned, all we need to do differently now is supply a letter reconfirming our intent to marry as our petition expires before my interview.
