What do you mean visa application? The I-129F? We submitted that in January.

The status on the CEAC tracker changed to ‘in-transit’ (from NVC to the London embassy) today but it’s not letting me book my interview. I thought that other people have been able to book their interview when their status was ‘in-transit’. That’s the only reason I asked - so I could check whether it’s just mine that’s having problems or if I have to wait until the status is ‘ready’ on the CEAC tracker before booking.

The I-129F is just the petition by the American to be allowed to bring a fiancé into the US. The UK fiancé has to apply for the visa .

Instructions from London consulate. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Scroll down for Step 1-Application Form. There is a link to where you book the interview in Step 4 so you know you are in the right place.

Oh you mean the DS-160? Yes I did that a couple weeks ago. I’ve tried the link in step 4 but it doesn’t work 🙁

Were you able to book your interview while the status was still ‘in-transit’?

Someone said the same thing a day or so ago. If you are doing all this on a phone, you may not get all the functions. It works on a computer and iPad.

The status of "in transit" and "ready" are a vague science.  You will get in when allowed. Try again tomorrow.

as @Wuozopo said, it will allow you when the embassy is ready. I was able to book in transit, so were some others, so just keep trying until it allows you to book the appointment.

I've tried a couple times today on my phone and my laptop and it still won't let me do it 🙁

Maybe it's going to make me wait until the embassy have received it before it allows me to. It's just frustrating lol

The device you use won't make a difference, it's whether or not your petition is in the system electronically ready to be processed. Perhaps try again tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise just wait until it's "ready".

Yeah I know, it's only because it was suggested to try doing it on a computer since a phone can cause problems.

Yeah I'll keep trying. Hopefully will be able to do it at some point this week!

Definately good advice there Leesa! It let me in the day after I went into ‘in transit’. Just keep trying. I done all mine on the laptop as I have no patience for doing it on a phone 😂

I thought you said the link to the booking page as shown on the embassy website Step 4 would not take you to the reservation site. It was only the link to get from the embassy website to the reservation website I said may not have functionality in the mobile version.

If anyone waiting to book their interview is curious as to the current wait times for interviews... I managed to book mine today and it's about 7 weeks now. The earliest date they had was 24th October 😭

Just booked my medical for 27th Sept (managed to be the 2nd and 3rd caller both times I rang! Was expecting much worse based on some accounts! Although waking up at 9am for it was killer...currently on STL time so felt like 3AM 😑). Not excited about the idea of waiting 7 weeks for an interview once I can book :( Has anyone else logged on recently to see?  Are cancellation spots common for the London Embassy/is there a best time of day to check for these? (I'm not impatient or anything...)

I keep logging in to check for cancellations and haven't seen any yet (I've only been checking for 5 days though). The earliest appointment they have at the moment is 31st October unfortunately :( they seem to be really backed up at the moment!

Hey there, in a similar situation myself. My case stated “ready” so I booked my appointment with the uk embassy and got an appointment but nowhere could I pay for the interview. So I’m concerned now that I may have done something wrong. Any advice?

Did you book it through the immigrant visa site (green site)? It automatically came up with the payment stuff when I booked mine so I'm not sure. The website I booked my interview with is: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv
