Sorry if this has already been asked recently, but I was wondering what the wait time is for an interview at the London embassy? Has anyone recently booked their interview and know how soon they are giving out interview dates?

I have my medical booked for 5th September but my application is still at NVC so can't book my interview yet. Based on what I have read on VJ, my application won't leave NVC until 7th September now :( does anyone know if that's definitely true that they only send the applications out on 7th and 21st of every month? Ours was received on 21st August so just missed it!

Thanks in advance!

I don't know about the interview dates as it has been a while since we had ours.

I did look and see that there were 2 shipments to the London Embassy from NVC that went out on Wednesday the 22nd and were delivered today. So fingers crossed that your petition was in one of those 2 shipments.  If so, you should receive word on that next week.  :)  Keep checking the tracker on your case number to see if it goes to "In Transit" next week.  If so, I would go ahead and schedule the interview.

Good luck and hope that your petition is on it's way to London!

That's great news! Is there a delay when it is updated on CEAC to in-transit?

Where did you find the dates of the shipments? I had a look at some timelines on here of people from United Kingdom and it looks like they were sent on 21st August (I can't see any from 22nd August).

Thanks for your help.

Sorry for just getting back to you.  I don't get on the site on the weekends very often.  You can track the packages that leave USCIS through the DHL website.  It will tell you when the packages left, when they were delivered, and where they were delivered to.  Have you received any updates on your case?  I would keep an eye out this week for sure.  Hopefully you will see some movement.  :)

Thanks for letting me know. I haven’t heard anything yet, still says at NVC. We didn’t get our case number assigned until 22nd August and it looks like the package left Boston on 22nd so I highly doubt we would have been in that shipment. I can still hope. I think the next one on 7th September is more likely!

Hi there!

I checked a day or two ago and I believe they are up to around 11th October for K1 interviews at the moment in London.

Good luck!

Oh no! It’s such a long wait now. Apparently a couple months ago it was only a 2 week wait! ☹️

When Jake and I booked few weeks back the availability was unbelievable. We could have had an interview 1.5 weeks later but we read about delays between the medical  and interviews, so decided we’d do the 21st Sept as our times aligned (as I’d like him here for moral support). All I’d say is you never know what things could look like when your case leaves NVC. Always remember you can book your interview a day or two after being ‘in transit’. You don’t have to wait until your case changes to ‘ready’ to book your interview. Another good way to look at it is, you’ve waited so long for NOA2-so this final wait time is insignificant :)

You have to track by shipper reference

http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

Then put the information in like this:

Shipper Reference: EXP 21 AUG 2018A  (this one is the date you are looking for the reference from.  From my understanding it is the date that they package was shipped.  You can play around with this date to get different results)

Date Range:  I put in the range that I am looking for packages. So for this particular search I did Aug 21-today.

Account number: Leave blank

Shipment Destination: Country you are looking for.  You can also leave this blank and it will pull up numerous shipments to different countries.

Hey!

Oh no it’s not difficult to do. You can only check if you already have an interview booked on the system etc.

You simply log in and can hit the reschedule option and it shows you the dates available that you could reschedule to.

Obviously I wouldn’t reschedule my date under any circumstance but it’s good to check out and help those out with their petition still at NVC (in terms of giving them ideas where availability is currently up to in London as we speak).

My case changed to in-transit just now. Does anyone have the link to the interview booking website? I just tried doing it on the immigrant visa interview booking site and it says that my case isn’t ready to book an interview yet. So I’m wondering if I’m on the wrong page. Have you all been able to book an interview while your case is in-transit?

It's not time for you to book it yet. It will let you in when they are ready for you. Have you submitted your visa application already?

What do you mean visa application? The I-129F? We submitted that in January.

The status on the CEAC tracker changed to ‘in-transit’ (from NVC to the London embassy) today but it’s not letting me book my interview. I thought that other people have been able to book their interview when their status was ‘in-transit’. That’s the only reason I asked - so I could check whether it’s just mine that’s having problems or if I have to wait until the status is ‘ready’ on the CEAC tracker before booking.
