Ok sorry, ONE of the toughest embassies.

Did I say he will get denied? No? But there is a chance and consul will have a reason. They might accept his explanation or not.

Also people need to stop involving god in immigration.. god doesn't sit there in office slapping approval stamps on your petitions. ;)

With God all things are possible. Somebody else went through this and a visa was issued.

Denial rate for spousal visas at the USEM Lagos,Nigeria is less than 1%.

Because he flopped while compiling the i130,he has been advised to write a detailed letter about the situation to the consular officer via his wife(beneficiary)so that she can present it at the time of her interview before the oath is administered.

On the issue of involving God in the immigration process,I'm not a fan of it as well because heaven help those who also help themselves but then again,God is worthy to be praised.

Can you give us an official source for this? I only know the source for B visas (which for Nigeria is 45%, so it would be very interesting to have such a wide divergence between the two). https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Non-Immigrant-Statistics/RefusalRates/FY17.pdf

Thanks a lot Sister Abies, the essence of the visa journey is to encourage and help one another and not to discourage people. Thanks for being an encourager and God Bless you enormously. You have helped me a lot.

Yes I know B is non immigrant 🙄 that’s why I asked. Generally refusal rates tend to be somewhat correlated between NIVs and IVs.

all you gave me was a link to some people on VJ, can you provide offical US statistics? Thousands of Nigerians apply each year, they are clearly not all on VJ. Unless I missed something the link you gave me is meaningless.

Yes. Lots of people have gone through this and gotten a visa. Many have also gone through this and not gotten a visa...

The essence of visajourney is to give people appropriate help and guidance in their visa journey. Sometimes this isn’t news people want to hear.

Would you rather hear someone giving encouraging words that won't help you or would you rather hear someone giving you realistic advice?

Please update us after your interview, so future applicants can judge whether the solution you have been given works?
