That is the medical file, she will hand carry it to her interview.   And yes it is sealed and should NOT be opened.

 

She will also receive a CD and the DS-3025 .. these she keeps, especially the DS-3025.

 

 

After the interview, when the visa is delivered, there will also be a sealed envelope marked DO NOT OPEN, with a corner cut-off .. this she must keep safe in her carry-on luggage as Immigration will take it at POE.

The CD and the DS-3025 are not needed at the Embassy right? Only the sealed Medical Envelope correct?

Correct.

 

Your fiancee needs to keep the DS-3025, it will be needed when completing the paperwork for Adjustment of Status after you are married.    The CD has no real value.

Ok so the CD isn't submitted with the AOS?  We just keep it for our records?  They told her not to open it so we wasn't sure what it was for.  She is really upset about the CD because they didn't put the ñ on the n in her middle name but the rest of the paperwork has it. I told her I didn't think it was that big of deal, but she wants to go back and see if they can fix it later.

No one wants the CD for anything.  It is just an X-ray image.   

 

The medical file folder can NOT be opened, it must be kept sealed and turned over to the embassy at the interview.  

 

As for special characters in the spelling of a name - NONE are allowed by the embassy.   All spellings will be N only, including her visa.

Hi guys, I am trying to read here if I can get an answer to my question but I don't see it here.

 

Ok, so our case is already in transit. Do we have to wait for the eligibility letter in order to schedule an appointment OR the "case is ready" is sufficient enough to move forward with the interview?

You can schedule the interview as early as you got your Case Number. Now that it is in Transit, it's safe with the timeline so I suggest schedule it asap.

Thank you! But do we need to have the eligibility letter on the day of the interview or at least receive the letter before the interview? I heard it will take two weeks to receive the letter.

Based on all the readings I've done, eligibility letter is never required nor recommended.

Perf! My F is going to have his interview next Friday 09/14, our case is in transit now so in a day or two hopefully, our case will be ready.
