Thanks!  I looked at the website, but still confused as what to do next. Ceac website has been saying “ready”, but I have not received anything from my interviewing embassy guz.  My issue is that I have been trying to reach my interviewing embassy guz, but to no avail.  Has anyone experienced this?

I feel like we won’t have enough time to do everything that the embassy want us to do since we have received no words from them 😞

It says: "After you have completed the steps included on the Fiancé(e) Visa Process, the National Visa Center (NVC) will conduct preliminary processing on your case.  Your case will then be forwarded to U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou for pre-interview processing.  You will receive a notification to complete the required visa application form (DS-160) and prepare the necessary documents.  Once your case becomes qualified for an interview, you will be notified to go to the visa application services website to schedule an interview."

It seems as if you are at the stage where you are waiting for them to notify you to fill out your DS-160, aka packet 3? And it's been just about 6 weeks since your NOA2? This is about normal, I don't know specifics for your consulate but that timeline sounds pretty average.

Everything you need, generally, and specifically for your consulate you should find on there. It's going to be stuff like police certificates from anywhere the beneficiary has lived for 6+ months, an affidavit of support from the petitioner showing income/tax returns/assets, medical records probably, sometimes consulates want school transcripts and/or a resume/CV. You still have some time but should definitely start on acquiring those documents for your future interview.

Sometimes they don’t notify you. If ceac says ready that means they’re ready for you to interview. You need to go on the AIS website and pay fees and schedule interview. Schedule your medical as well. The website for your embassy will have a list of what you need to do next. Check the K1 section of their website. It’s not really the embassy’s responsibility to tell you what to do next. You have to research it and follow the guidelines. Most embassies won’t send you anything.

Thanks!  Is this true for my interviewing embassy Guangzhou?

Thank you so much, everyone!

This is too confusing...some people told me to WAIT until my interviewing embassy send me the packet while others told us to just go AHEAD and schedule the schedule.  I am so lost 😞.    What should I do?

My interviewing embassy is Guangzhou.  Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much, everyone!

It’s almost impossible to contact any embassy. Everyone experiences that problem. You just have to follow the guidelines for the next step. You really don’t need to contact embassy for that. Information is easily accessible on their website.
