Hello house, it’s  been very busy and frantic over the last month and a half. Like @Jamaican_Gooner I had applied for my mom in August and I received an approval on February 1st. Case was transferred to NVC which they received on February 7 and I got a case number from them on March the 19th. I’m going through the consular part by paying the aos and iv fees and uploading the necessary documents.

Good luck to the waiting bunch.

Hi all. So I just got an email yesterday from the national visa center and I can go on to the next step in the process. Fortunately that can be done using the Consular Electronic Application Center, so I can upload my documents there. I intend to do that this weekend. However as you can see it's nearly 60 days since my I-130 has been approved. My advice to anyone waiting is ensure you get a soft copy of the needed documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, IRS transcripts, copy of passport page) so when you get to the stage of using the electronic system you can upload them easily. Best of luck to everyone.

Thanks for the update and congrats to you on the next step. I just wish Nebraska would hurry along. They are processing June 20 applications today. So, I believe I am not to expect anything before end of July.

I have been monitoring this site everyday for the last 7 months. Last night when I saw this, I almost cried. It was June 209th and they went back to April 16. I am hoping it is just a missed batch but I am very skeptic because they changed the estimate time range from 7.5 - 10 months to 9.5 -12 months.

I am so glad I found this forum. I applied for my mother. It went Texas Service Center.

Receipt number begins with SRC.

Priority Date is 08/10. Should I be worried? People ahead of me are getting approved. Anyone behind me in Texas not getting decisions yet?

Also can someone estimate when I should hear from them?

You should submit service request now because your case  is “outside normal processing time”

I agree. You need to do a service request for your petition. Here is the link - https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt. I am at Nebraska and they just started July , so I will be here for a while.

Hi,

Im(naturalized last year) planning to apply the GC for my mom(my father deceased). I have a couple of questions.

1) my mom is a housewife and unemployed. Does it make any negative impact since consuler officers may think she’ll apply for unemployment benefits once becoming a permanent resident ?

2) my mom doesn’t have considerable money in her bank account(I as the son is the 100% sponser). Will it make any negative impact?

3) When i go through ir5 trackers and immigration forums, i can see that time takes for processing ir5 is roughly 11-14 months. Is it correct and does it depend on the country of residence of my mom ?

4) Online I saw multiple document checklists. For instance according to the uscis website only the i130, naturalisation certificate and petitioner’s birth certificate needs to be submitted while some friends in visajoirney had posted that they submitted copies of mom’s passport, mom’s birth certificate, marriage certificate of my mom and dad in addition to i130, pettitioner’s birth certificate and naturalization certicate. What is the document checklist that needs to be submitted along with i130 as of now?

Thank you in advance friends. Wish you all the best.
