FINALLY!!!!

I have informed delivery with USPS, so I saw this morning I was getting a mail from USCIS. Every avenue I check shows my case was received September 17, 2018, so no update. On my way home from work I called USCIS, I got to my mailbox before someone came online, by then I read the approval notice and the case was approved 9/16/19. I still asked the CSR about my case and what is  the update, to which she told me that my case was approved and I should be getting something in the mail on what the next steps are.

I’m a lurker... I’ve read your comments here and think we both have our cases at Nebraska SC. I just got approval a few minutes ago. It will be exactly one year on the 30th that we’ve been waiting for this approval.

I'm just seeing this. They approved me exactly 1 day before the 1 year mark

Hi guys we are also at Nebraska and got an RFE today but our application date is Sep 24 2018 . Does that mean they are ready to work on my case even though the site is showing they are working on June. Also where do we send the RFE? How long does it normally take to hear once you respond to RFE?

Yes, they are working on your case. As to how long it will take after you submit what they are asking for, no clue. With the IR5 from Nebraska there are limited historical date so make an assumption, but I would suggest to send whatever they are asking as quickly as possible.

Question for NVC stage?

What documents do I need to have and also are we downloading these things electronically? Are we seeing faster processing because it is being uploaded electronically than in the past?

+ When you get the email about from NVC after uscis transfer your case over to NVC, you can do these things

1. Pay fees

2. Fill in and submit DS260

3. Collect all the required documents and upload. These documents includes:

a. Financial Documents (your IRS transcript 2018, 2017, 2016 AND your I-864 form - you have to fill in, then print out and SIGN then scan to pdf file and upload; and supporting documents like w2 pay stubs, letter from your company, etc.)

b. Civil documents from YOU and YOUR MOM

- From YOU: birth certificate, marriage and divorce certificate,  passport, US naturalization certificate, etc.

- From your MOM: your mom birth certificate, her marriage / divorce certificate, passport, passport photos, police report, etc.

all documents need to be translated to english.

POLICE REPORT : you need to go to state website for clearer instruction relevant to your country

Our I130 was approves by USCIS. So how long is it takien for NVC to assign case number? Also how will they contact us (email or mail)> The last time USCIS email us, it went to spam. I am curious if the same thing will happen to NVC if they contact us via email.

I received an email about a case creation after only 1 week after USCIS sent my petition to NVC. I've never received any letter in the mail. I'm not sure that they use regular mail for notifying the petitioner and the beneficiary for their case creation.

Thank you for responding.  I am hoping I don't miss the email. I'll wait another week, then call.
