i place my bets on no. notice the title, it's all about signalling. a moonbat liberal defending illegals. illegals are murderers! sound the alarm. 

you'd think that folks who've gone through the legal immigration process would agree with elizabeth warren at minimum regarding the need for comprehensive immigration reform. i don't know that they'd agree with the kids in cages, from what i gather many folks here are cool with that.

anyways, you'll notice that whenever an illegal immigrant commits a crime that is highlighted in the media - it will be posted here in cehst. without a doubt. anything to justify building a wall and making it super difficult for refugees to seek a new life here (unless they're from norway). i'm sure you're aware of all the trump quotes that back up these disgusting attitudes towards 'the other'.

So is this true with school shooting victims being used to push gun control.  Btw, EW was asked to respond regarding the President’s comments that immigration laws need to be stronger and she talked about her visit to the border.  Not really sure her answer was relevant to the question unless she is suggesting more lax immigration laws.  Regardless it is hard to tell since she didn’t really outline her plan.

the school shooting victims i've seen pushing for gun control are doing that on their own, not being used.

Yes, of course.  But where I live, it seems news items about school shootings are immediately followed by “Don’t take our guns!” And “Gun control won’t make a difference” refrains.

Everything ends up being political.

As to those that truly present a threat, how do you identify these folks if not by detaining them and then having them argue their case before an immigration judge.

 

As to the gun control question, it really is a chicken and egg thing.  What you suggested generally is reactionary to all the calls for stricter gun control laws first after an incident.

And how are we to do this, when we cannot predict WHO is going to be a threat?  Fortune telling is a myth as far as I know.
